More Power froM yoUr inStrUMentFor more than twenty years, we have worked intensely with the bass clarinet. We have recently developed our own line of bass clarinet necks/crooks. They are heavier than typical necks/crooks and are reinforced. Our Series II necks feature continuous S-curve pipes with precision-calibrated tube bends and thicker walls for improved energy flow.
foCUSeD SoUnD witH PreSenCeThe bass clarinet has a marvelous sound which is unfortunately often covered in the ensemble with it's typical location toward the rear, competing with other instruments with more intense volume levels, and the inherent lack projection of the bass clarinet.
Our bass clarinet necks enable the player to transfer energy more directly and quickly to the instrument. The player can increase the air-flow pressure, providing a more stable, solid playing experience. The result is a more focused, fatter sound with more presence that projects much better in all environments. The neck is also equipped with an adjustable register vent. The BCH2 Series II is particularly well suited for expressive solo play and in ensembles with high stage volume levels.
MeDiUM HeAvy or HeAvy HeAvyWe developed two basic variations:The Medium Heavy, which is more rigid and has more mass than the original neck, and the Heavy Heavy, which has extreme reinforcement adding to the heaviness and great mass of these necks.
The BLASHAUS exclusive Bass Clarinet Neck BCH2 Series II is available for all Selmer models and for today’s Buffet Prestige models.
An AngLe tHAt fitS yoUWe offer 3 different angles:• Steep This neck angle corresponds as with the original Buffet Prestige model, to play comfortably while sitting.• regular This neck corresponds to today’s open Selmer. This angle is recommended for soloists who play while standing.• flat Flatter than the open original Selmer neck angle. This type is often preferred by saxophonists and doublers. The playing angle is similar to that of a saxophone.
