System DesignSimatek Bucket Elevators have beendesigned on the basis of a flexible and space-saving method combining horizontal andvertical conveying of bulk products.

Gentle ConveyingThe product is not exposed to external impactsfrom filling to emptying when using thisgentle conveying method.

Cornflakes and potato chips are examples offragile products, which can be conveyed withoutbeing damaged.

As a standard, the elevator buckets aremanufactured in white FDA food-approvedpolypropylene. Other colours and qualititesare also available.

Sanitary DesignBucket elevators for conveying of food areusually manufactured in stainless steelAISI 304 or AISI 316.

Simatek Washing Unit offers facilities forsteeping, washing and drying of chains andbuckets. One unit can be applied for severalelevators.

Simatek bucket elevators are available in aclosed, dustproof design. When conveyingfood, open elevators equipped with safetycoverings are more common.

TechnologySimatek Unipower HPL 431 constantlymonitors the power consumption andswitches off the power if the load exceeds thepreset values.

The soft starter facility provides safetyagainst overloading of vital parts.

By means of the Simatek Frequency Con-verter you will attain full utilization of theelevator as to the desired capacity. At thesame time you will ensure that the elevatordoes not run faster than necessary, whichmeans that service parts and moving parts inthe elevator are not loaded more thannecessary.

The buckets have been especially designedand are supplied in polypropylene, mild, orstainless steel depending on the type ofproduct to be conveyed. Temperatures from-25oC to +250oC.

Construction

Low Power Consumption

The drive section is equipped with a directlycoupled helical-bevel gear and mechanicalbackstop.

Intermediate Outlet

Electric pneumatic intermediate outlets canbe placed as required on horizontal sections.Computer-designed curve guides ensure lowfriction and minimum wear.

Service

Where service and inspection are required,the bucket elevators are equipped withinspection hatches.

The drawers under the lower horizontalsection can be pulled out for cleaning.

Flanged joints reinforce the elevatorconstruction and can be equipped with sealsif a dustproof execution is required.

ATEXA Simatek bucket elevator in a dustproof de-sign can be placed in ATEX zones 21 and 22.

The buckets are suspended in pegs betweentwo parallel running chains and are kept in ahorizontal position from filling to emptying.

The high-quality chains have been equippedwith nylon rollers ensuring long lifetime andquiet operation.

The lower horizontal section has beenequipped with chain guides and brushesprotecting the chains against dust.

Aspiration is required when conveyingproducts that contain dust.

AccessoriesSimatek Product Dispenser optimizes thecapacity of the bucket elevator. The productdispenser ensures an optimum distributionin the buckets, a gentle product handling,and minimizes product waste. The speed ofthe elevator can thereby be reduced, and thecapacity can be increased.

Simatek Vibration Feeder ensurescontinuous filling of buckets and minimizeswaste. The vibration feeder can be connectedto an aspiration branch, and the capacity iscontrolled via a variable motor control.

Simatek Automatic Chain Tensionerensures same pressure on both chains.

By means of the Simatek Automatic ChainLubrication System you will attain a lowerpower consumption, less noise, and higheroperating reliability. The amount of oil can beadjusted very precise and thereby beadjusted to the current need.
