I. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
Plant Synopsis
1. Simhapuri Energy Limited (hence forth be named as Owner), is setting up 4 x 150 MW Coal Based
Thermal Power Plant at Village Tamminapatnam, District SPSR Nellore of Andhra Pradesh. Presently Two
units of 150 MW (Phase # 1) are already in operation.
Phase # 2 (Unit # 3 & 4) are going to be commissioned by middle of December 2013. The plant is based
on Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion technology for the boilers. The Main equipment supplier (Wuxi
make Boiler, Harbin make Turbine, Jinan make Generator and Auxiliaries) are supplied from china
Through M/s Madhucon Projects, Hyderabad.
This bid document covers the Maintenance of total Power Plant and Operation of BTG, BOP for Phase # 2
Location of the Plant
2. The Plant site is located at Tamminapatanam Village of SPSR Nellore District and is easily accessible by
road. Nearest railway station is Gudur Junction, at a distance of 35 km from the site. Plant site is close to
the national highway (NH-5) connecting Kolkata and Chennai. The nearest Air Port is at Chennai,/Tirupathi
which is around 200/ 100 Km from site. Road connectivity of Gudur from Chennai/Tirupathi is very good
which is very easy for arranging resources and material.
SITE VISIT BY BIDDERS
3. The Bidder is expected to visit the Power Plant site and make his own assessment
regarding the quantum of work and facilities available at site and satisfy himself about
all the uncertainties prior to submitting his offer.
The Bidder is expected to examine all instructions, forms, terms and specification in the
Bid Document. Failure to furnish all information required in the Bid Document or
submission of a Bid not substantially responsive to the Bid Documents in every respect
may result in rejection of the Bid.

Bid Documents
4. The Bidder is expected to examine all instructions, terms, conditions, specifications, scope of work
specified in this Bid Documents. Failure to furnish all information required in the Bid Documents or
submission of a Bid not substantially responsive to the Bid Documents in every respect may result in
rejection of the Bid.
Amendment of Bidding Documents
5.
a. At any time prior to the deadline for submission of Bids, the Owner may, for any reason, whether at its own
initiative or in response to a clarification requested by prospective Bidder, modify the Bidding Documents
by amendment.
b. In order to afford prospective Bidders reasonable time in which to take the amendment into account in
preparing their Bids, the owner may, at their discretion, extend the deadline for the submission of Bids.

Time Schedule 6.
The basic considerations and the essence of the 'Contract' shall be the strict adherence to the time schedule
for performing the specified 'Works'.
Submission of Bids
The bids shall be submitted in two parts viz.
a. Part 1 - (Techno-commercial Bid)
b. Part 2 - (Price Bid) ANNEXURE-B
The above bid PART- 1 shall be submitted in soft copy through email followed by hard copy duly
signed and stamped on each page of the documents.
Part-2 (Price Bid)- ANNEXURE-B shall be submitted in sealed envelope as mentioned below in sl.
No. 8
7 The following documents shall be submitted along with the part 1 (Techno commercial Bid)
with your comments/deviations if any.
a. Technical and commercial acceptance of our bid documents in toto duly singed and stamped on
each page. If not please furnish schedule of deviation giving the reference no. of each point. Both
technical and commercial.(ANNEXURE-D)
b. Proof of O & M experiences in coal based thermal power plant of unit capacity not less than 60
MW.
The period of contract should be more than one year.
Minimum deployed man power should not be less than 100.
The annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than Rs 25 Crores.
Please enclose work order copies/ agreement copies, performance certificates issued by the
clients in the last 3 years.
c. Copy of P.F. Number allotment letter
d. Labour License and W.C. Policy copies of previous order.
e. Copy of Service tax registration number.
f. Copy of Income Tax Permanent Account No (PAN) of the firm.
g. Last 3 years annual turnover/balance sheets of your company .
Bids not consisting of above documents is likely to be rejected.
8. Part-2 Price bid
The Contractor shall furnish the “Schedule of Manpower Rates” The price shall be inclusive of all man-
power, transportation, safety and statutory compliance, mobilization and de-mobilization etc.
The Price and Rates Quoted shall be firm till one year from the award of contract.
The hard copy of Price bid (Annexure-B) shall be addressed and submitted in a sealed bid at the following

8 GENERAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
Period of contract
1. Period of contract is 3 years subject to review of the agreement after every year from the date of Notice to
proceed issued by engineer in charge. If required the contract can be extended for further period of 12
months on mutually agreeable terms or it can be short closed at the discretion of SEL.
2. Escalation of Prices/ Rates
SEL agree that the rates agreed to above are firm and fixed for the first year and that from the Second year onwards there shall be an escalation on the Previous Year’s rates of the manpower provided by the CONTRACTOR. Please quote for the annual escalation as per annexure.
Terms of Payment
3. The contractor shall raise the invoice in triplicate after completion of every month. The bills shall be submitted
before 5th
of every month to Engineer in charge at site. The following documents shall be submitted along with
the bill.
a) Proof of Payment of service tax to concern authorities of the previous month.
b) Workers attendance sheet.
c) P.F Challana statement
d) workmen’s compensation insurance policy
e) Any other document required as per statutory norms shall be intimated separately at the time of
award of contract.
f) Payment shall be released within 30 days from the date of submission of bill. Payment shall be
released through RTGS.
PERFORMANCE SECURITY BANK GUARANTEE:
Successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Security Bank Guarantee equivalent to ten per cent (10%) of the
annual agreement value. This shall be furnished within 30 days from the effective date notice to proceed. This BG
shall remain valid for One (1) year with three (3) months grace period from the date of Notice to Proceed. the said
Performance Security Bank Guarantee shall be returned by it on successful completion of the first year of the
agreement period. The bidder shall furnish every subsequent year fresh BG as Security Deposit equivalent to ten
per cent (10%) of the subsequent year’s annual agreement value.
Recovery
4. TDS: TDS shall be recovered as per the IT rules and regulations.
5. LOSS OF DAMAGE TO SEL EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY: In case of any damage of equipment/machinery
due to negligence of contractor or any other reasons attributed to contractor, the decision of SEL Engineer
regarding the amount of recovery shall be final and binding, subject to a maximum of 10% of contract value.
Recovery will be affected from the monthly bills and/or retention money.
6. If the contractor fails to execute the work as per directions of Engineer-in-charge within the time frame given,
SEL shall get the work done by third party at the risk & cost of the contractor.
7. All costs, charges or expenses which OWNER may have paid, for which, under the contract the contractor is
liable, shall be recovered by the Owner. The contractor shall pay all such claims within 15 days of claim failing
which the same shall be deducted from the contractor's RA bills
Assignment and Subletting Of the Contract
8. The contractor shall not assign or sub-let any part of the contract to any other party or agency. If it is
inevitable considering the circumstances and need, Engineer in charge may relax this condition from time to
time.

Termination of Contract by SEL
9. SEL may terminate the contract after due recoveries of pending jobs/damages after giving 30 days’ notice to
the contractor if any of the following events occur -
a. Contractor is adjudged as insolent.
b. Contractor has abandoned the contract.
c. Contractor fails to proceed with the work with due diligence as per requirements of the contract.
d. Contractor has neglected or failed persistently to observe or perform any of the acts, matters or things,
which as per the contract are to be observed and performed by the contractor.
e. Any major contradiction of applicable labour laws/statutory compliance.
Interpretation of Clause
10. In case of disputes as regards to interpretation of any of the clauses or specification, the decision of SEL
Engineer in Charge will be final and binding on the Contractor.
Workmen's Compensation Insurance
11. The contractor shall take all risk Insurance Policy to cover all his workmen, staff applicable under the
Workmen Compensation Act 1923 or any amendment thereof and also insurance cover for third party liability.
The contractor shall keep the Owner indemnified from all liabilities arising out of his action in pursuance of this
Contract. The W. C. Policy should be obtained from NELLORE Jurisdiction and shall be assigned to SEL. WC
policy should cover the specified contract. A copy of workmen’s compensation insurance policy shall be
submitted along with each bill.
Statutory Requirements
12. The contractor has to fulfil the statutory compliance of labour laws as per Annexure - [C]
13. The contractor shall be solely responsible for any accident caused to his workers and should adhere to all
rules / regulations as per labour laws of Government and other statutory laws as applicable.
14. The contractor should register himself under the Contract Labour Act, Workmen Compensation Act and PF
Act (Code no. to be mentioned) and submit the copy of registration certificate and should possess the same
from the date of commencement of work, failing which the contract is liable to be cancelled. The W.C. Policy
copy should be submitted to the Owner before commencement of the work and Labour Licence should be
obtained within one week from the date of issue of form-V. Contractor should apply for Form-V immediately
after receipt of LOI or Award of contract. A copy of Labour Licence shall be submitted to SEL, HR & Accounts
Department.
15. Contractor shall have to insure his workmen /supervisors etc. under Group Insurance scheme/Workmen
compensation Act.
16. The Contractor shall be responsible for compliance of all statutory rules, regulation, act enforced from time to
time framed by the government such as Factory Act, Workmen Compensation Act, payment of Wages Act',
Minimum Wages Act', Provident Fund Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Labour Laws, maternity benefit act in
respect of employees engaged by him for the work and shall have to maintain necessary records. In case any
amount becomes due to be payable by him to his employees or to the Government under the above rules,
regulation, Acts, SEL reserves the right to recover the same from the contractor and pay to the concerned
employee.
17. Documentary evidence with individual PF code numbers of PF deposit paid in the preceding month shall have
to be produced by the contractor along with the monthly RA bill of succeeding month.
18. Records as per the provisions of various statutory Acts will have to be maintained by the contractor and
submitted as and when required. The copies of wage registers duly endorsed by SEL authorities and labour
authorities to be submitted at the end of the financial year for onward records.
19. All contractors’ employees shall maintain due discipline and respect local sentiments. Owner reserves the
right to direct the contractor to remove any such person who does not comply with it.
20. It is the responsibility of the contractor to give weekly off and other holidays as per rules
to the personnel deployed under him. However deployment of the required numbers of
man power and supervisor on all days, including Sunday and other public holidays is to be
ensured by him.

Work measurement / certification.
21. The work is of specialized nature and the contractor should be fully conversant with modern practices and
should be able to carry-out maintenance works as per the instructions of concerned SEL Engineer. The
contractor shall therefore be required to engage qualified / experienced personnel who can carry out of the
jobs independently with minimum supervision.
Facilities to be provided by the Owner (SEL)
22. Following Facilities shall be provided to the Contractor by the Owner at free of Cost;
a. Free space for office & store with water and power free of cost as decided by OWNER (SEL)
Facilities to be considered by the contractor/Bidder:
a. Accommodation: The bidder has to make their own arrangements for their staff and officials nearer to our
plant. . At present we do not have any infrastructures to provide accommodation. If at a later date at the
request of the contractor, subject to availability, the same will be provided on chargeable basis as per SEL
company norms.
b. FOOD: The bidder has to make their own arrangements for their staff and officials. However they can avail
our existing canteen facilities available within the plant on chargeable basis.
c. Transport: The bidder has to make their own arrangements for their staff and officials.
Tools & Tackles
23. For proper maintenance of the plant, the contractor is to maintain required set of tools & tackles in good
working condition at site. The tentative list of such tools & tackles is enclosed as Annexure - [A]. The
contractor shall note that this list is not exhaustive and if any additional tools and tackles are required for
proper performance of the contract, the contractor shall also arrange the same immediately with no extra cost
to SEL.
24. The work has to be carried out on round the clock basis. The contractor shall deploy the man power on round
the clock basis, till the work is completed. It is the responsibility of the contractor that the work is not stopped
for the reasons attributable to Contractor.
Required Man Power
25. Contractor shall, under the contract, provide the required Experienced Man Power of various categories and
numbers as mentioned in the enclosed Annexure – [D]. The man power provided by the contractor under this
clause shall report to Engineer In charge of SEL for the misc. and/or routine type of Jobs which the Engineer
In charge of SEL finds necessary. Contractor shall raise the bills on monthly basis for the supply of such man
power. Engineer In charge of SEL will be free to execute the jobs/items as per the requirement of the plant,
III. SPECIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS:
a. The Contractor shall deploy physically/medically fit manpower (contractor needs to ensure health check-
ups for his employees, like Physical fitness before employment, colour vision test, and eye sight
examination for skilled workers, technicians, supervisors and crane operators once in a year for less than
45 years and six months for more than 45 years old. And for people engaged in coal handling plant
contractor has to ensure health check-ups for respiratory disorders once in every six months).
b. The manpower can be deputed in round the clock shifts as well as general as per the instructions of
Engineer In charge of SEL.
c. Safety of the staff is the responsibility of the Contractor.
d. SEL reserves the right to levy Penalty @ Rs 100 per head/ day/shift for non-supply man power as
per Scope of Work. This clause is applicable if attendance is less than 90% of the scheduled manpower
individual department wise in a day/shift.
e. The Contractor has to submit daily attendance report and also maintain a duplicate book showing the
manpower available on daily basis.

f. The Contractor may have to deploy the manpower in case of emergency at any point of time during the
contract period as per the directions of Engineer In charge of SEL.
g. The contractor has to ensure the required manpower as per the shift schedule and general shifts by
considering their weekly offs, leave schedules and holidays.
h. All the employees / workers coming inside the plant should have dress code as per the instructions of
AGM/HR,
i. ATTENDENCE of employees/ workers shall be monitored by biometric or its equivalent type.
j. It is the responsibility of the contractor to give weekly off and other holidays as per
rules to the personnel deployed under him. However deployment of the required
numbers of man power and supervisor on all days, including Sunday and other public
holidays is to be ensured by him.
Contractor’s Input:
k. All Personal protective equipment like safety helmets, safety shoes, safety belts, safety goggles, hand
gloves, ear plugs, nose masks, etc. to be supplied to the workers. Contractor will be fully responsible for
the safety of their employees/ workers and has to provide all Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE’s) like
thick cotton suit, gumboots, Boiler Suit etc., to his workers as per the site conditions and Job requirement.
I. If the contractor does not provide proper PPE’s as mentioned above, SEL reserves the right to provide
those at the cost of the contractor with penal rates as decided by Engineer In charge of SEL.
j. The contractor shall furnish and maintain the list of Tools & Tackles brought into plant premises along with
their Serial Nos. make/brand, size and dates/ of year of purchase. All contractors’ tools shall be
permanently marked with their company name for easy identification of ownership.
SEL Inputs: a. All Spares and other facilities mentioned as under shall be provided by SEL to the Contractor, which are
required for the execution of the Scope of Work under this contract.
b. All consumable items required for carrying out mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.
Contractor should ensure optimum usage of these items.
c. Special tools and tackles, if required and the same to be returned in good condition, in case of any
damage or loss of tools cost may be recovered from the monthly bills.
26. Contractor should mobilise his workmen within 15 days of award of contract.
27. The contractor must fully mobilize to take up the Critical/emergency work at any time immediately (with in
minimum possibility) on receipt of information from Engineer In charge of SEL.
Penalty for delay
28. Any violation of safety norms of SEL, a minimum penalty of Rs 100/- will be levied for each occasion or as
certified by our Manager/ Safety.
29. All manpower engaged by the contractor must undergo safety training before start of the work.
Defect liability:
30. SEL reserves the right to levy penalty, if the contractor fails to provide Tools & Tackles as per Annexure–A
or work is effecting for want of those tools an amount of Rs.100/- per tool per day shall be deducted from
the bills on each occasion based on the certification of engineer in charge.
31. During execution of work, scraps generated have to be removed to the place identified by the Engineer In
charge of SEL, delay in removal of scrap as per the time schedule given by engineer in charge, SEL
reserves the right to levy of Rs.500/- for each occasion.
Coordination
32. Contractor shall designate one Site-in-charge for the contract period. He shall duly submit a signed daily
progress report and a signed daily safety checks report as per the format agreed by Engineer In charge of
SEL. Site–in–charge shall attend a daily review meeting with Engineer In charge of SEL at a mutually
convenient time and venue. They shall come prepared with day and cumulative progress of various
activities and constraints– wise plans for next 24 hours etc. for the meeting.
Contractor shall keep required Nos. of functional mobile phones with his Engineers / Site-in-Charge etc...

b) Service tax shall be paid extra as applicable.
(2) The above qualifications and experience is an indicative. SEL may relax the qualifications and
experience based on the need and requirement. All Recruitment shall be in consultation with Engineer in
charge/site in charge.
In addition to the above man power you may recruit 5% of the total man power as trainee engineers at your own cost and risk to work / train in our plant. (3) ADDATIONAL REQUIREMENT OF MAN POWER: PLANNED REQUIREMENT: The above man power is an indicative. SEL reserve the right to increase/ decrease the man power to the extent of +/- 25% of the agreed man power on the existing rates and terms and conditions within the contract period. The additional man power requirement may be short period / continuous period. SEL shall give advance notice of minimum 10 days for additional man power. (4) ADDATIONAL REQUIREMENT OF MAN POWER: UN PLANNED REQUIREMENT /Emergency requirement.
In the event of continuation of existing man-power during emergencies, such extended hours of work by existing resource will be counted for man days and normal rates of wages shall be paid by the COMPANY for the extra hours/over-time counting such extra hours of work as 8 hours per man-day for payment of normal rates of wages. (5) SITE IN CHARGE Qualifications and experience: He should be an Engineering graduate with minimum 15 years’ experience worked in a power plant or in a power project. Deployment of man power: The successful bidder should deploy at least 50% of the contract man power within 30 days from the date of award of contract. Balance 50% within 60 days from the date of award of contract. If there is delay in deploying man power, there will be a penalty of Rs 100/- per head for the delayed period till you supply the man power. The delay shall be counted after the 60 days

from the letter of award. Engineer in charge is having desecration to reduce the penalty/ waive the penalty based on the site need/ circumstances.
ANNEXURE-B2 (MECHANICAL)
SCOPE OF WORK (MECHANICAL)
The scope of work of the contractor (“scope of work”) includes supply of the man power for total maintenance services for Boiler, Turbine, Generator and Balance Of Plant ( Water Treatment Plant, Air compressors, Chillers compressors, Cooling tower and other areas) and Operation of various areas as per the instructions of engineer in charge of the PHASE-2 (2 X 150 MW) power plant. The manpower shall report in A, B, C and General shifts as per the plant requirement. Scope of operation as follows :-
Proper operation of creek pumps, SWPTP,ROP-I&II, DMP ,Boiler and auxiliaries, turbine and auxiliaries, Cooling water pump house, Air compressor ,Cooling tower and others.
Follow the SOPs, Maintain the log books and Check sheets (equipment change over schedule, trail run schedule etc...) for running equipment of power plant, informing to higher authorities (staff of owner) if they found any abnormalities.
Follow the instructions of shift in charge to run the plant smoothly. Involvement in the preparation of SOP’s for smooth operation of plant. Shifting of spillage materials like coal, bed material etc... Shifting and Feeding of bed material, chemicals and Top up of lubricants as per plant requirements Housekeeping of entire thermal power plant. Touch painting and equipment cleaning. Operation in all aspects to run the power plant continually. Regeneration of GSF, PSF, ROP and DMP. Analysis of coal, Ash, Seawater, RO water, Boiler water, Condensate water quality as per boiler requirement.
Scope of Maintenance team as follows:- Follow up of Preventive maintenance schedules to minimise equipment break down for phase-I units. Follow up effective lubrication schedules for the equipments Attending breakdown maintenance works to keep the equipment in running condition wherever required. Improvements, Modifications and repairs. Scaffolding and approaches for work execution for refractory erection and other areas wherever required. Waste oil movement including storage and disposing of as per environment norms. Work area cleaning and scrap removal. For unloading, shifting and feeding of bed material, oil and grease. Housekeeping of entire thermal power plant. Touch painting and equipment cleaning. Alignment of various pumps, fans, BFP and soot blowers, Belt conveyors etc. Belt jointing for coal feeders Replacement of pumps, motors, fans and bearings etc. Whenever required Maintenance works for boiler, turbine and their auxiliaries and BOP(Cooling tower and WTP etc ) Boiler tubes replacement Maintenance of coal feeders. Maintenance works for boiler, turbine and their auxiliaries and BOP(Cooling tower and WTP etc ) Instruments, analysers and systems calibration works. Coal feeders, calibration works. Shift log book should be maintained for the works carried out in all the shifts and handed over to HOD of the
department at the end of the shift.
Works related with PLC and DCS systems. All works should under the guidance of Instrumentation engineer or shift in-charge. All works to be carried out with proper safety measures. Work should be carried out with proper tools. Any abnormality arises while doing work to be immediately reported to the concerned Engineer. Annual maintenance and plant shut down works as assigned from time to time.

The scope of work of the contractor (“scope of work”) includes supply of the man power for total maintenance services for Boiler, Turbine, Generator, switch yard and Balance Of Plant ( R.O.Plant, colony quarters electrical works, colony water pump house Water Treatment Plant, Air compressors, Chillers compressors, Cooling tower and other areas) of the PHASE-2 (2 X 150 MW) power plant. The manpower shall report in A, B, C and General shifts as per the plant requirement.
Checking of all Motors, instruments and control panels. Checking of D.C. battery system (Voltage & Specific gravity) and recording of readings at specific intervals as per
requirement. Maintain the log books and Check sheets. Follow up of preventive maintenance schedules. Attending the break down works. Monitoring and observing any abnormalities and reporting to the concerned authorities. Condition monitoring of systems and equipments as per requirement Repair of the faulty items and keep them ready for reuse. Following safety precautions. Repair and replacement of motors where ever necessary. Troubleshooting of various equipments. Installs and repairs of lighting fixtures and connections. And arrangement of temporary lighting on need basis. Shifting of material wherever required and housekeeping in respective working areas. COMPLIANCE OF LABOUR LAWS
Statutory compliance on the part of contractor is as under:-
1. The contractor shall at his own cost comply with the provision of labour laws, rules, orders and
notifications whether central or state or local as applicable to him or to this contract from time to time.
These Acts/Rules include without limitation of the followings.
2. Contractor shall be solely responsible and shall fully comply with all the provisions of all the labour laws
applicable such as the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act 1970,
Factories Act, 1948, Payment of Bonus Act 1965, Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provision
Act 1952, Industrial Dispute Act 1947, Workmen Compensation Act 1923, Payment of Gratuity 1972,
Interstate Migrant Workmen Act 1979, Equal Remuneration Act with Rules, Order and Notifications
issued/made there under from time to time.
3. All other Acts, Rules/Bye-Laws, Orders, Notifications etc. present or future applicable to the contractor
from time to time for performing the contract job.
a. The Contractor shall provide and be responsible for payment of Wages, Salaries, Bonus, Social charges,
Insurance, Food, Accommodation, Transport, Medical and .Canteen facilities and other statutory privileges
and facilities to his personnel as per law/rules/regulations and orders of the Central Government, State
Government, Local Authorities or other authorities as are in force from time to time. All employees of the
Contractor shall be employee of the Contractor.
b. The contractor shall have a valid license obtained from Licensing Authority under the Contract Labour
(Regulation & Abolition) Act-1970 at the time of execution of the contract covering all his employees
working at SEL site and furnish the same failing which SEL may terminate the contract at its sole
discretion.
c. The Contractor shall at the time of execution of the contract have a EPF Code Number obtained from the
Authorities concerned under the Employees Provident & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1972 and remit
contributions in respect of the employees employed by him at SEL Site to the P.F office concerned every
month failing which SEL will recover from the outstanding payment to the contractor from SEL.
d. The Contractor shall maintain all records/registers required to be maintained by him under various labour
laws mentioned above and produce the same before the Statutory Authorities whenever required.
e. The Contractor shall also submit periodical reports / returns to the various statutory authorities such as the
Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act-1970, Employees Provident Fund Act etc. under intimation to
HR & Administration .Dept.
f. The Contractor shall not pay less than the Minimum Wages notified by the Government from time to time
to his employees of corresponding categories.
g. The Contractor shall be responsible for payment of overtime wages to his workmen, if any, in case they
are required to work beyond the prescribed hours under law as per applicable rates.
h. The contractor shall take Workmen Compensation Insurance Policy for all his employees working at SEL
site. The contractor shall indemnify the company against any liability due to any work injury or accident to
any of its employees.

i. The Contractor shall in the event any of his workmen / employee sustains any injury or disablement due to
an accident arising out of and in the course of his employment, provide necessary medical treatment and
pay compensation as applicable, required under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923.
j. If any of the persons engaged by the Contractor misbehave with any of the officials or the Company or
commit any misconduct with regard to the property of .the Company or suffer from any serious
communicable disease, the Contractor shall replace them immediately.
k. The Contractor shall not engage / employ persons below the age of 18 years. Employment of women
shall be strictly according to applicable laws.
l. SEL will have rights to deduct and disburse the claims of the individual / parties being a principal employer
on any account whatsoever in relation to their employment with the contractor. The Security deposit will be
released to the contractor at the end of the contractual tenure subject to an undertaking by the contractor
that in the event any of his workmen or the heirs of workmen puts up a claim for recovery of money due to
him from the contractor before the appropriate authority under the ID. Act 1947 or under any other labour
laws or for compensation under the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1923 and the appropriate authority has
given a direction for making payment the contractor will meet the same or indemnify SEL if in the event
SEL pays it as Principal Employer.
m. The contractor shall make payment of wages to his employees on fixed date within the period specified
under the applicable Law, in presence of representative of the company or through bank credit to the
employees saving back account. He will submit a true copy of Wage sheet, attendance register and P.F.
remitted Challana on monthly basis to HR&A dept. for verification and record.

n. The Contractor shall provide Safety items / kits to his employees such as safety shoes, goggles, ear plugs,
hand gloves, safety belts etc., if any, required under the law.
o. The contractor shall conduct pre-induction and periodic medical check-up of his workmen as per
applicable laws.
The list is indicative in nature and not an exhaustive one. Any amendment/alteration/Notifications
or addition to the existing Law or a new statute shall automatically and immediately become applicable.
