SINCE 1911 SINCE 1911 More than 1,000 acres of hilly terrain created by glaciers are within the Lapham Peak boundaries, including a portion of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. This glaciated topography provides excellent hiking and educational opportunities with abundant bird life and wildlife that can be observed throughout the trails. There are several prairie restoration sites and a butterfly garden. SINCE 1911

More than 1,000 acres of hilly terrain created by glaciers are within the Lapham Peak boundaries, including a portion of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. This glaciated topography provides excellent hiking and educational opportunities with abundant bird life and wildlife that can be observed throughout the trails. Winter field trips are limited to two sessions per day:

We offer a wide variety of programs that tie directly to the classroom curricula and align with state standards.

$20 flat fee (includes projector, screen, power strip, extension cord and equipment set-up)

One-hour nature programs are $50 per group with a maximum of 65 people.

In addition to the building fee, a vehicle admission sticker is required for each vehicle entering the park.

All field trips begin and end at the Hausmann Nature Center unless otherwise noted.

Spring, Summer and Fall field trips can accommodate up to 65 students, teachers and chaperones. Field trips are offered between 9:00am and 2:30 pm and can include time for lunch.
