The Heroic Adventures of Captain Shinypants on the

Bookmobile Submarine

“You don’t need to be a superhero to be a hero.” – Captain Shinypants. The eccentric Captain Shinypants may not be a superhero – but he tries to be a hero by being kind to everyone he meets, always doing his best and doing the right thing. During this 45 minute comedy puppet variety show, the Captain, his first mate (robot bird) Nelson, his (real) dog Reggie, Soupy the Seal and the misunderstood shark puppet Grady Heimlich sing original funny songs and perform amazing tricks of juggling, balancing and dexterity. The focus of the presentation is that we all have heroic potential, and you can find ways to be a hero every day. The Captain concentrates on positive actions kids can think about and accomplish - like being kind to others, speaking up for someone who is being teased or bullied, being responsible for your own actions, and learning to protect the environment by keeping our own personal space clean. It’s a funny, brilliant program that will get kids thinking and talking about how everyone can be affected by the positive actions of others.
