This is a depiction of a typical home battery / PV system installed. There cost of permitting, design, rewiring, and installation can exceed the battery cost by several times.

The inverters and chargers have little autonomous control or management and there is very little data insight on performance causing electrical network and grid instability. They are also vulnerable to internal or external grid fluctuations.

Why this matters? Every single existing home battery system on the market today reduces control over the electrical network by integrating many complex devices from different vendors in a new electrical network wired by a local contractor.
