2WELCOME/TYA

Familiar characters in tales old and new make up our exciting 17-18 school year season here at the Missoula Children’s Theatre! Travel up the heights to Mt. Olympus or down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. Explore delicious wonders in a most famous chocolate factory and go toe-to-toe with lions at Pride Rock. These adventures (and more) abound. Students of all grades, abilities and experience are welcome at MCT and we hope you will join us, either on stage or in the audience, for our epic season full of character(s)!

Throw out your fairy-tale ideas of a Cinderella with dainty glass slippers and hideous stepsisters — this unique and hilarious adaptation has a new twist! Cinderella, a meek girl with big feet, has to compete with her two mean-spirited but fancy stepsisters for the hand of the prince. With the help of her faithful feline companion, Tom, and a lovable Fairy Godmother, who’s always using the wrong wand, Cinderella finally learns that magic isn’t the answer to her problems. A comic delight for all ages!

6 SPRING DAY CAMP/SPARK!/SCHOLARSHIPS & CANCELLATIONS

Alice in Wonderland is an original adaptation based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Alice follows a rabbit to a strange and wonderful place. Through it all, Alice grows “curiouser and curiouser” as to where she is and even who she is. In the end, the answers she seeks are unimportant. Wonderland is all nonsense, anyway. As the White Rabbit explains, “Nonsense is fun!”
