A single skin is an applied coating used to protect the steel of the storage tank internally. Giving it a “skin” which fully encapsulates the inside of the storage tank and acts as a barrier between the steel and the stored product.
A solvent free single skin offers the best protection for your storage tank. Solvent free linings are friendlier to the environment and to people. With the correct preparation they have excellent adhesion to the steel and form a hard tile-like finish when dry.
A greater level of thickness can be achieved when spraying solvent free linings, which means the required thickness can be achieved in one application. A massive time saver, meaning the storage tank can be returned to service quicker.
