The Citrus College Esthetician Program, a three-part course structure completed in one semester and one intersession, exposes students to the latest skin care, make-up and waxing techniques in the industry of Esthetics. You will receive the best possible education from faculty who are licensed, experienced cosmetologists and certified instructors. Upon completion of 19 semester units, with a grade of “C” or better, students will receive a Certificate of Achievement and are eligible to take the California State Board of Barbering & Cosmetology Licensing Examination for Esthetician.

PROGRAM MODULES The Esthetician program, three-part course of study, is designed to educate and train students in the fundamental skills education in esthetic applications, values, theoretical science and prepare them for the State Board exam. COS 199A - Esthetician I (8 units) An introductory course of skin care treatments, hair removal, make-up application, anatomy and physiology, including massage techniques, sanitation, disinfecting, disease and disorders of the skin, cosmetic chemistry, electrical current and modalities for skin care. The course focuses on the basic skills required to achieve a State Board License. Phase one of a three-part course. COS 199B - Esthetician II (8 units) This intersession course completes your program and required hours. �This course, part two of the esthetician program. A basic course which includes state board preparedness, customized facial treatments, the psychology of services, make-up artistry, color coordination, product knowledge and aromatherapy. COS 199C - Esthetician Salon Success (3 units) – This intersession course completes your program and required hours. This final course provides students with basic salon management skills, sales, and client retention, as well as information required to pass the licensed exams. Students will focus on personal satisfaction and skilled habits to ensure success in the industry.

Citrus College enrollment fees are established by the legislature and subject to change.

Fees are due at the time of registration and can be paid online!

* California Residents attend Citrus College tuition-free and pay enrollment and incidental fees only. Nonresidents and International Students are required to pay additional per unit student tuition. Estimated enrollment unit fees are based on Fall 2014 fees and are subject to change.

The Program Kit is purchased in the Owl Bookshop and the student is required to the Program Kit by the second day of class.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS� Students may not have acrylic or gel nails so that each student feels the “Full Spa Experience” such as Facials, hair Removal etc. This requirement allows students to work on each other and “be” the patron undergoing a spa treatment.
