Summer Internship Project (SIP) Guidelines
1. Each student of the PGDM will be required to submit a Project Report after the scheduled
completion of his/her Summer Internship Project (SIP) in an organization.
2. Summer Internship Project (SIP) Work will be carried out under the joint
guidance/supervision of two Guides: Faculty Guide and Industry Guide. Faculty Guide willbe a faculty of the Institute and Industry Guide will be the students reporting officer in the
company.
3. A synopsis must be sent to the respective mentors within 15 days of the commencementof the Summer Internship Project (SIP) Work. The format of synopsis guideline are given at
page no. 2&3.
4. Students should update the faculty supervisor about his/her work on a weekly basiseither
by sending email to the respective faculty or contact them on mobile which is mandatoryand the faculty member should also respond to the student if required through e-mail or
mobile.
5. One hard bound printed copy in black cover with golden color and one soft copy in pdf
format (on CD-ROM only) of the project report should be submitted to the PGP Cell ofthe Institute and one copy should be retained by the student.
6. The printed copy of the Project Report must bear the project completion certificate signedby both the Guides. The signature of the Industry Guide should be supported by the
relevant seal of the organization.
7. The Project Report will be evaluated by the examiners duly constituted by the Institute.
8. The Project Report should reflect the candidates own understanding, estimation and
analysis of the subject under study.
9. Every student has to make a presentation and appear in the Viva-Voce examination on the
Project Work.
10. The Project Report must be submitted within the stipulated time and date.

GUIDELINES FOR SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROJECT (SIP)
REPORT FRONT PAGES
I. The Summer Internship Project (SIP) report must be hard bound only with black binding.
II. Sequencing of the Pages
The top of the report must have the title page embossed in golden color in
the format attached with the guidelines given in Annexure A.
The title page (front cover) and the first page within the report should be the
same.
The second page is the Certificate issued by the Industry Mentor / Company on
the company letter pad. (Annexure B)
The third page is Certificate of Originality (Annexure C)
The fourth page is Acknowledgement page (Annexure D)
The fifth page is Executive Summary
The sixth page is the Table of Contents
All the above mentioned pages must be numbered in Roman numbering, viz. (i),(ii)(vi)
etc. from page first to table of contents page.
III The report will have pages numbered from the introduction page onwards in
Anglo-Saxon (English) numbers, viz. 1, 2, 3, etc.

GUIDELINES FOR SUMMER TRAINING PROJECT REPORT
PRESENTATION
Instructions for the Students
1. Length
The project Report should contain between 50-70 pages. The Report should be printed 1.5
spaced on A4 size paper excluding front till Table of Contents page and references but including
tables and figures. The body text should be in Times New Roman font size 12. The title should
be in the font size 20. The sub headings would follow in the font size of 16, 14, and 12 bold.
2. Title Page (Annexure 'A')
The following information should be presented in this order with all text centered:
(a) The title (not more than ten words) and subtitle, if any
(b) The name of the student
(c) Submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the PGDM
(d) Name of the institute
(e) The month and year of submission
3. Certificate is given by the Industry Mentor/Company regarding completion of SIP
(Annexure B)
4. Certificate of Originality (Annexure C)
5. Acknowledgement (Annexure D)
6. Executive Summary
A summary of the project, of approximately 120 words (Times New Roman 12pt regular, single
line spacing), is required. This should briefly state the main objectives, findings and conclusion.

8. List of Tables and Figures
The list of tables and figures (diagrams, graphics, and illustrations) should follow the list of
contents and each has its own numbering sequence.

Contents of the report should necessarily incorporate following details:
Chapter-1: Introduction: Clear understanding of the topic/subject; understanding of the
organization/unit//field.
Chapter-2: Literature Review: Published studies and review of similar studies
1Chapter 3: Research Method:Give a clear and concise sequential statement of the methods that
have been used to test the hypothesis, i.e. the methods used for the collection and analysis of
relevant data /information.

the author as a result of the investigation. Raw data, if appropriate, should be presented in
appendices.

Chapter 5: Conclusions and Recommendations
2 This section evaluates the information/data presented in the previous section. Comparison
of result and conclusion with those of previous authors , reassessment of the hypothesis (if any)and discussion of the broader implications for management, industry, government organizations
or other appropriate bodies.
References: References and citations should be completed in all respect to enable the reader to
look up the source material and give credit to the author(s) of the source material. All the
references should be cited in the body of the text and arranged in alphabetical order. Keepuniformity in the references. All references should be in APA Format as shown below:Book
