1944-1945

Founding year of the school

Miagao Regional High SchoolCruz Sedotes, Principal

After the war, refresher subjects were offered to those whose schooling is interrupted during wartime. The marketplace served as the schoolhouse.

The birth of Miagao High School

It offered regular high school subjects.

It turned out hundreds of graduates.

MVS received the National Science Development Board(NSDB) aid for a research in handloom weaving and designing

Renovation, repair and reconstruction of administration, academic and shop buildings

SY 1974-75 MVS was made a pilot school by the Educational Development Projects Implementing Task Force(EDPITAF) with the aid from the World Bank

SY 1975-76 MVS was adjudged Most Outstanding Secondary Trade School in Region VI

SY 1976-77 The Weaver, the official school publication with Miss Rosalia N. Noble, adviser won several prizes in division, tri-regional and national writing contests.

1977 Start of the offering of the Two-Year Trade Technical curriculum as approved by DEC, Enclosure No. 2 to Department Order No. 2,s

1975 Courses offered were Technical Industrial Electricity, Technical Stationary and Marine Engineering, Technical Furniture and Cabinet Making, Technical Machine Shop Practice, Technical Garments Trades and Technical Handloom Weaving

1984 MVS Conversion to SIPC

1987 SIPC was selected as one of the priority schools to offer One-Year Technician Curriculum with concentration on Refrigeration and Airconditioning Technology

1989 Start of the offering of the Two-Year Certificate of Technology replacing the One-Year Technician Curriculum

Additional shop courses were Automotive Technology and Electrical Technology

1990s Construction of the Technology Building under the administration of Dr. Gerardo Solas

1994 Faculty and Staff held a cultural show “Pasundayag” at the Miagao Plaza

The swimming pool was constructed for the marine students

Senator Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was invited as Guest Speaker during the 10th Foundation Day of SIPC

Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago was invited as Commencement Speaker

SIPC was under the CHED Supervision

1998 Mr. Jesus N. Nasa was appointed and assigned at SIPC as Vocational School Superintendent

The Administration Building was renovated.Offering of BSIT and BSIE was started.

1999 The Civil Service Commission conducted a Values Orientation Workshop at SIPC Kate Botengan, CHED Commissioner was invited as Commencement Speaker

SIPC hosted the 23rd FFP, FAHP and VLP Provincial Work Conference

2000 Tribu Daplong was declared Grand champion during the Salakayan Festival in Miagao

November 27, 2000 Integration of SIPC to WVCST pursuant to RA No. 7722, RA No. 8292, RA No. 760

June 15, 2001 Launching of the Rosemar Techaid Foundation based on WVCST Board of Trustees Resolution No. 6/13/2001-45

Turn-over Ceremony for the fifty-one computer units donated by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bole of RTF
