• Founded in 2005.• Work to promote intercultural exchange in Italy, the U.S., and around the world.
• Principles: ‣Promote Full-‐Immersion and Service-‐Learning strategies to develop ‘Reflec7ve Intercultural Competence’ among program par7cipants.
‣Develop Intercultural Competence skills of program par7cipants.
•Research and advocacy in the fields of pedagogy, linguis7cs and interna7onal educa7on.
• Intercultural Horizons annual conference in Siena and New York City.

•Project funded by European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme.
‣ Aims to implement the FICCS approach to other EU languages/countries.
• Objec7ves:
1.Develop courses and teaching materials based on the EUFICCS common methodology.
2.Set a matrix of basic elements of the EUFICCS methodology allowing for transfer to other European languages taught as second language.
3.Create a network of language learning providers able to implement the common methodology in teaching second languages and to adopt it in their countries.
