IDEC is used to exchange Coupons and some Rejection billing data among the Passenger airlines.

This process of data exchange is followed by a large number of carriers (mandatory for all ICH members and those with IET for IDEC Passenger)

A number of ACH member carriers having manual processes do not support IDEC

Around 850,000 Invoices are billed per year through ICH

High Quality Billing File Submission- Airlines can submit billing data in two formats IS-IDEC and/or IS-XML. The data files will be validated by the system to ensure that the data is of high quality

Sampling Billing data – Airlines can exchange sampling billing data right from Provisional billing till Sample Form XF

Manual Capture of Billing data – Airlines can manually capture Prime billing, Rejection, Billing Memo as well as Credit Memo information on the IS-WEB

Supporting Documents - Electronic Supporting attachments with the option of automated as well as manual linking

Migrating Cargo: Today What do we have today?

IDEC process - IDEC is used to exchange Air Waybill interline billing data among the Cargo carriers. This file currently does not support billing of Rejection Memos, Billing Memos, Credit Memos.

Around 230 airlines are involved in the Cargo billing Process through ICH

158 airlines submit less than 10 invoice per week Around 130,000 Invoices are billed per year through ICH

There are only 22 carriers who participate in the IDEC exchange process.
