The parcels of land proposed for consolidation via rezoning is located at the northwest corner of West Broadway and Alma Street in the prestigious Point Grey neighbourhood.
The underutilized prime Vancouver location is currently occupied by a single storey mall with surface parking. The subject site is remarkable for its proximity to public transportation and to cycling routes. At the intersection of the Broadway commercial corridor and the Alma Street high-density connector the site is well serviced by public transit routes along both Broadway and Alma Streets. The area currently a transit hub, has been identified as a potential future location for a transit station going to UBC.
