Figure 4. Select applications for installation

Select the checkboxes for desired application/s. The Description and Space text on the right side and Installation path at the bottom, display the information about the highlighted (or last-clicked) application irrespective of the checkbox state i.e. whether it is selected or deselected. The Space button displays the required and available disk space on the PC to the user.

SiteWizard detects the installation of GCS on the user's computer. The checkbox for GCS is by default selected if GCS is either missing or needs an upgrade. If the user tries to deselect the GCS under these circumstances, the warning message will be displayed. However, the user can still proceed with the installation of other applications without GCS.

The GCS checkbox is deselected by default if the same or newer version of GCS exists on the user's computer than provided by this

4.1.1 Operating System Requirements

The following Operating System (English Version) is supported by the NetAct Node Manager Server:

• Microsoft Windows 2003 Server Edition

4.2 Minimum Hardware requirements

For details on the NetAct Node Manager Server hardware requirements refer to Node Manager Server Principles.

4.3 User Access Level Control

4.3.1 User Access Levels

The following element managers are installed by SiteWizard:

• Flexi EDGE BTS Manager

• BTS Manager

• BTS HW Configurator

• E1/T1 Manager

Page 23: Site Wizard Installation Instructions Dn05228246 9-2

23 (29)

• FC STM-1 Manager

• Hopper Manager, Not UALC Capable

• MetroHub Manager

• RRI Manager

• STM-1 Manager

• Bridge Manager

• UltraSite BTS Hub Manager

• FlexiHub Manager, Not UALC Capable

Out of these, only Hopper Manager and FlexiHub Manager are not UALC capable.

Note that if UALC is enabled/disabled from SiteWizard, UALC is enabled/disabled for all the element managers that are UALC capable.

There are two access levels possible for various features and functionalities in the BTS, LMUB and ITN Transmission Element Managers when used remotely from the NetAct Node Manager Server:

• Read Only (Basic user)

• Full Access (Administrator)

With Read Only access level the user will only be able to view the properties of the node. The user will not be allowed to change the node properties. This is the restricted mode provided by the access control.

With Full access level the user will be able to read and modify the node settings.

By adding users to a user group named Nokia BTS_Admins users can have full access rights assigned. Users not being part of this user group will have read only access rights.

Note The user group "Nokia BTS_Admins" is created when User Access Levels checkbox is ticked and the Next button is pressed in the Installation setup screen

Figure 11. Enabling of User Access Level Control feature

If the user checks the tick-box User Access Levels at the time of SiteWizard installation then the user access level functionality is enabled and by administering the user group Nokia BTS_Admins full access or read only access rights can be assigned to individual users.

If User Access Levels is not selected, the user access level functionality is disabled (by default, all users have read/write access).

Note Access levels are enabled only for Remote Connection. In local connection this feature is disabled and the user has all the normal rights even if the registry key is present.

Note With Full Access there are certain restrictions to ensure the remote connection is not lost due to error. These restrictions include running of the Commissioning Wizard, Reset to Factory Settings and Restore Back-up Settings.

The table below describes what actions are required for the User Access Level feature.

Table 1. User Access Level Control

I wish all users to have restricted access (read only)

I wish some users to have restricted access (read only)

I wish all users to have full access (read/write)

1. Check the User Access Level tick-box at the time of SiteWizard Installation or Upgrade

2. Check the User Access Level tick-box at the time of SiteWizard Installation or Upgrade

3. Add the users who should have full access to the Nokia BTS_Admins Group

1. Do not check the User Access Levels tick-box at the time of SiteWizard Installation or Upgrade

For additional information about enabling, disabling or administering User Access level functionality refer to MetroHub Transmission Node Rel. C3 CD3 Managing MetroHub Software document.
