Cavity Tray

Adjustable stepped cavity trays for brickwork are used for the following applications.

• At the abutment of a pitched roof with a cavity wall

• On external walls – not exceeding 120mm thickness – built from standard brickwork or similar sized components with regular course heights, including mortar of approx. 75mm

• On roof pitches of 25 degrees and above• Cavity widths of between

50mm – 110mm

The Staifix RT2 is a Type 2 (general purpose) wall tie for use in the construction of domestic houses and small commercial buildings up to 15 metres in height. It is manufactured from stainless steel wire in four standard lengths to suit cavities from 50mm to 150mm. The RT2 is CE Marked to EN 845-1.

the risk of injury on site• Stainless steel wire is corrosion-resistant and

minimises heat loss through cold bridging• Multiple drips prevent water crossing the cavity,

whichever way up the tie is installed

Where masonry is in line with a column flange, a notched wall tie is used in conjunction with a bespoke angle section to allow the mechanical fixing to be suitably located. This system is referenced SPB. The angle section features

a 7mm fixing hole as standard and a slot to accept the wall tie. The slot provides vertical tolerance in the position of the tie allowing the angles to be fixed in advance of the masonry if required. Ties can be used with debonding sleeves when used at vertical movement joints. The thickness, size and shape of the angle are designed to suit each application.

The insulation retaining clip can be used on the full range of wall ties. The positive ‘CLICK’ action will allow the ties to fit to the formed cavity ties and frame cramps, and also allow the clip to fit to the full range of wire and strip ties as well.

Staifix Universal Wall Starter System

Ancon Type 1 Cavity Wall Tie

Each pack contains two 1165mm lengths. Slots at each end allow easy connection of one length to the next.

This system includes all necessary fixings to join a single skin of masonry, 2400mm high, to an existing wall. Each pack includes two fixing strips, five plugs, five washers, five screws and ten wall ties. It is suitable for wall widths from 60mm to 250mm and has a design resistance of 1.7kN per metre. Wall ties slide within the fixing strip to course with the bed joints of any masonry unit.

The Ancon ST1 wall tie is now available in five lengths to suit cavities from 50mm to 200mm.

In its longest length, 350mm, the ST1 is ideal for cavities of 150-200mm; this tie allows additional embedment in the inner leaf to help keep the tie horizontal during build, which can be difficult to achieve with a 275mm tie installed at standard embedment.

As a Type 1 Heavy Duty tie to PD 6697:2010, a British Standard which classifies ties according to their strength and function, the ST1 can be used in the construction of any building, of any height, anywhere in the British Isles.

Visqueen Radon Membrane is manufactured from an enhanced blend of polymer films that is suitable for use in the protection of buildings from the ingress of radon gas. Visqueen Radon Membrane also acts as a damp proof membrane, but is not intended for use where there is the risk of hydrostatic pressure. It is approved for use in Ireland. Visqueen Radon Membrane can be used in most common floor constructions. It is installed in a similar way to a damp proof membrane, but with much greater attention paid to workmanship and detailing in order to achieve effective sealing at all locations.

Fixed Height Paving Slab Supports act as a guide when laying paving thus ensuring uniform position. This saves a considerable amount of time in application and gives an attractive finish.
