SIU offers a variety of tuition awards and grants based on need, academic performance, nationality, and grade level (undergraduate or graduate). Please review each award and grant to see which one you may qualify for and which one will meet your needs. How to Apply

AAHOA AWARD50 one-quarter tuition awards are available to members/students of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, for one academic year and a summer session.

ACADEMIC AWARD 50 one-fourth tuition awards are available to students possessing an outstanding academic record and who exhibit excellent potential for academic achievement. This award is available for one or two semesters.

ALKAHALIFA AWARD30 one-quarter tuition awards are available to students from the Middle East and North Africa who possess a good academic record. This tuition award applies to all Schiller International University campuses and is available for two semesters.

AMBASSADOR AWARD20 one-half tuition awards for students who are employees or dependents of employees of a consulate, an embassy or a similar type of diplomatic service appointment of their home country who demonstrate need. The award is valid for one or two semesters and applies to full time undergraduate students and full time and/or part time graduate students.

ANGARIKA H. DHARMAPALA AWARD 20 one-third tuition awards valid for two semesters and is available to selected students from Sri Lanka possessing a good academic record.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN AWARD50 one-quarter tuition awards available for one or two semesters. This award is available to students with U.S citizenship who enroll at one of the SIU European campuses.

BOURSE LAFAYETTE AWARD20 one-half tuition awards for new students from high school with a French Baccalaureate. This award is valid for one or two semesters.

BRANDENBURG AWARD50 one-quarter tuition awards for one or two semesters for students from the former Eastern Block countries and Eastern States of Germany.

BRAZILIAN SCHOLARS AWARD20 one-quarter tuition awards for Brazilian students who wish to enroll full time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. This award is valid for up to four semesters. Applicants must have a good academic record and demonstrate financial need. The award is applicable to all Schiller campuses.

CANADIAN SCHOLARS AWARD20 one-quarter tuition awards for new students in an undergraduate or graduate program. This award is available for two semesters to Canadian citizens only.

CARL SCHURZ AWARD30 one-third tuition awards are valid for one or two semesters. This award is for students whose employer is willing to guarantee payment of one-third of the student’s tuition. The student must provide contact information from the sponsoring company.

CHINESE STUDENT TUITION AWARD30 one-quarter tuition awards for one academic year (not including summer session) for Chinese and Taiwanese graduate or undergraduate students who have financial need.

DR. WALTER LEIBRECHT AWARD30 one-third tuition awards for one or two semesters for new students who enroll at one of Schiller’s European campuses.

EXCHANGE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD6 one-third tuition awards for new students who are alumni of the American Field Service, Rotary Youth Exchange and Youth for Understanding student programs. Applicants must have good academic records, demonstrate financial need and are currently enrolled in an accredited secondary or post secondary institution. This award is valid for one or two semesters.

FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL AWARD5 one-third tuition awards for one or two semesters available to new students with a good academic record, and are currently enrolled in a high school in the state of Florida.

GEORGE WASHINGTON AWARD25 one-third tuition awards for one or two semesters to new students who are dependents or employees of the military and the Department of Defense and demonstrate financial need.

GUSTAV VON STRUVE AWARD30 one-quarter tuition awards for new German citizen students only who show financial need. This award is valid for one or two semesters.

HBCU AWARD50 one-quarter tuition awards available to students who attend or graduated from any one of the 64 Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the United States. This award is valid for one or two semesters.

ISHE KOMBORERA AFRICA AWARD20 one-quarter tuition awards for citizens of countries located in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. These regions include Central, East, West, Southern Africa and Island Nations Cape Verde, Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, São Tomé, Príncipe and the Seychelles. This applies to new students only who possess good academic records attending any of the SIU campuses. This award is valid for two semesters.

JAPANESE SCHOLARS AWARD5 one-quarter tuition awards for new Japanese students carrying a good academic record. This award is valid for two semesters at any SIU campus.

JANE AUSTEN AWARD10 one-third tuition awards for one or two semesters available to new students with British citizenship. Applicants must have good academic records and and demonstrate financial need.

J.L. RELAN TUITION AWARD60 one-third tuition awards are valid for two semesters and are available to students from India possessing a satisfactory academic record.

JOHN SUTTER AWARD20 one-third tuition awards for students who are Swiss residents interested in studying at the American College of Switzerland campus. This award is valid for one or two semesters and applicants must demonstrate financial need.

JUAN PONCE DE LEÓN AWARD 15 one-third tuition awards are available to new students with Spanish citizenship. Applicants must be currently studying or working in Spain with a desire to enroll full time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program. This award applies for the Fall and Spring semesters for one academic year of undergraduate or to all terms of study towards a graduate degree. It does not apply to undergraduate summer sessions. Applicants must have a satisfactory academic record and demonstrate financial need to qualify. Recipients must spend their first semester of study at the SIU Madrid campus.

K. KHANNA AWARD 20 forty percent tuition awards for two semesters for new students from India studying at the London Campus.

KNOWLEDGE TUITION AWARD 20 one-quarter tuition awards for two semesters to students who demonstrate good academic records and financial need.

KOREAN SCHOLARS AWARD5 one-quarter tuition awards for new Korean students carrying a good academic record. This award is valid for two semesters at any SIU campus.

KWAME NKRUMAH AWARD4 one-third tuition awards for one or two semesters for new students from Ghana who possess a good academic record.

LUIS MUÑOZ MARÍN AWARD50 one-third tuition awards for US citizens for two semesters who have a GPA of at least 2.0.

MAASTRICHT TUITION AWARD50 one-third tuition awards for two semesters for new students who are citizens of the European Union (EU).Applicants must have a good academic record.

MAHATMA GHANDI AWARD60 one-third tuition awards for two semesters are available to students from India possessing a satisfactory academic record.

MARCUS GARVEY AWARD8 one-third tuition awards for new students from the Caribbean or the Bahamas possessing a good academic record. This award is valid for one or two semesters.

MUSTAFA KEMAL ATATÜRK AWARD10 one-quarter tuition awards for citizens of Turkey who possess a good academic record.

PONTIFICA UNIVERSIDAD CATÓLICA DEL ECUADOR FELLOWSHIP4 one-half tuition awards are for PUCE tourism students for graduate study in the fi eld of International Hotel and Tourism Management available for two semesters. This award is re-newable until the completion of the master’s degree program, provided that a GPA of 3.0 is maintained.

PUSHKIN AWARD30 one-third tuition awards for one or two semesters and are available to new students from the Commonwealth of Independent States who demonstrate fi nancial need and a good academicrecord.

RENAISSANCE TUITION AWARD20 one-third tuition awards for SIU Bachelor’s degree recipients who enroll in the online MBA program. Awards are for the MBA program and prep courses, not to exceed 51 credits.

SIMON BÓLIVAR AWARD25 one-third tuition awards for new Latin American students with a good academic record equivalent to a 3.0 GPA and show fi nancial need. The applicant must presently be studying or working in South and Central America who wish to enroll in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program. This award is valid for up to four semesters.

UNIVERSITY SERVICE GRANTSThis award is for students who possess a satisfactory academic record either from a secondary or post secondary institution, and exhibit useful skills and fi nancial need. Recipients serve as part time library assistants, offi ce assistants, building and ground assistants, e.t.c. Compensation is given for hours worked and will be applied to tuition owed. USGs do not apply to part time studies.
