Purpose of the country papers1. Stimulate discussion in country teams prior to attending the
symposium.
2. Enable country teams to develop a collective view of their country’s services and issues.
3. Identify issues on which country teams can be grouped together at the symposium to learn from each other.
4. Start to shape future vision/ mission statements for country teams.
Questions have been framed for each subtheme to facilitate workshop discussions.

Priorities Two clusters:1.Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Kosovo and Serbia
Subthemes: II followed by III.I IV.
2. Lebanon and the United Kingdom
Subthemes: I, followed by III, II and IV.
There is no clear pattern among the rest of the countries.
Turkey gave equal importance to all of the subthemes.
Some other countries, such Hungary and India, used the scale approach (using only 1, 2 and 3) to avoid ranking any of the subthemes as the least important.

The most often mentioned issues were:
· the importance of strengthening partnerships (Poland, New Zealand)· achievement of common understanding of goals, terminology, purpose of career guidance (Latvia)· better education of practitioners (Serbia, Slovenia)· using evidence-based policy ( Norway, Germany, Ireland)· better utilization of the tools supported by modern technology (e.g. the internet or webbased career guidance tools) (Israel, Turkey)· widening access / access to all (Turkey, Norway)
