Purpose This manual provides information about MML commands termi-nal. This manual also explains the procedure of executing NetNu-men™M31 commands, retrieving history commands, and clearingor saving results and history commands in MML terminal.

MML Terminal IntroductionMML terminal facilitates users by providing GUI based commandinputs. MML terminal also provides command line inputs to ex-ecute commands that are not available in GUI, such as internalcommands that are not available for customers.

The parameters and buttons between MML Message Area andCommand Parameters Pane are described as follows:
� Code shows the current command being executed and lists pre-viously executed commands in the drop-down list.
� and buttons are used to navigate between previousand next commands.
� Execute button is used execute the current command.
� MML message area has three tabs, that is, Command ExecuteResult, Help and History Command, and they are describes, asfollows:
� Command Execute Result displays the result after the com-mand is executed.
� Help provides complete help for every command includingfunction, syntax, input/output parameters, and example.
� History Command displays the list of previously executedcommands showing execution time, result, and commandcontents.
Navigating to MML TerminalShort Description To log into NetNumen™M31 client and navigate to MML Terminal
Prerequisites Prior to performing this task, meet the following requirements:
� NetNumen™M31 Client software is installed successfully
� NetNumen™M31 server is started completely
� Oracle database is running normally
Context Perform the following steps to log into NetNumen™M31 client andopen the main interface:
Steps 1. Start NetNumen™M31 client by double-clicking Run clientbutton on the desktop, as shown in Figure 2, or by selectingRun client from the Start menu, as shown in Figure 3.

2. Enter the User Name, Password and Server Address in theLogin interface, as shown in Figure 4 and click OK.

3. Upon successful login to NetNumen™M31, Topology Man-agement module appears by default, as shown in Figure 5. Ifuser enters wrong message NetNumen system display warningmessage to enter correctly.

4. On the menu bar, click View > MML Terminal, to open MMLTerminal as shown in Figure 6.

Executing NetNumen™ Commandsin MML
Short Description To execute NetNumen™ commands in MML
Prerequisites To execute MML commands, meet the following requirements.
� The NetNumen server is started successfully
� The NE agent to be operated is activated
� One activated NE agent’s icon should be in blue color
� User must have right to execute commands
� User must enter correct command
Context Perform the following steps to execute commands in MML:
Steps 1. Login to NetNumen™M31 client.
2. On the menu bar, click View > MML Terminal, to open MMLTerminal.
3. Select the root node, that is, NetNumen from the NE tree, asshown in Figure 7.

4. All commands specific to NetNumen appears in commandtree, as shown in Figure 8. Select the required command.

Executing OMM Commands in MML
Short Description To execute OMM commands in MML
Prerequisites None
Context Perform the following steps to execute commands in MML:
Steps 1. Login to NetNumen™M31 client.
2. On the menu bar, click View > MML Terminal, to open MMLTerminal.
3. Select the NE, from the NE tree, as shown in Figure 11.
Note:
NE tree contains all the NEs NetNumen is connected with; in-cluding GSM and WCDMA. Figure 11 shows WCDMA NEs. How-ever, GSM NEs also appear in the list, if exists.

4. All commands specific to NE appears in command tree, asshown in Figure 12. Select the required command.

Obtaining Command Help
Short Description To obtain a command help in MML
Prerequisites None
Context Perform the following steps to execute commands in MML:
Steps 1. Login to NetNumen™M31 client.
2. On the menu bar, click View > MML Terminal, to open MMLTerminal.
3. Select the node whose command help is required, from the NEtree, as shown in Figure 15.

4. All commands specific to the selected NE appears in commandtree, as shown in Figure 16. Select the command for whichhelp is required and click Help tab under the result area of theinterface.

Checking History Commands

Prerequisites NetNumen™ client is logged-in and working fine. The client is notlogged-out after the execution of commands.
Context Perform the following step to execute commands in MML:
Steps 1. Click on History Commands tab under the result area of theinterface, as shown in Figure 18.

Executing Commands Manually inMML
Short Description To execute commands manually in MML
Prerequisites None
Context Perform the following steps to execute commands manually inMML:
Steps 1. Login to NetNumen™M31 client.
2. On the menu bar, click View > MML Terminal, to open MMLTerminal.
3. Enter commands in commands area, as shown in Figure 20,and click on Execute or press F5 on the keyboard. If user en-ters wrong command, NetNumen system displays Command doesnot exist message, as shown in Figure 21

Searching Commands
Short Description To search commands in MML
Prerequisites None
Context Perform the following steps to execute commands in MML:
Steps 1. Login to NetNumen™M31 client.
2. On the menu bar, click View > MML Terminal, to open MMLTerminal.
3. Click on Search tab under command tree area, as shown inFigure 23.

4. Enter the search keyword in Key Words field, as shown inFigure 24.

Clearing Results

Saving Results

Short Description To execute commands through Telnet
Prerequisites None
Context Perform the following steps to execute commands through Telnet:
Steps 1. Execute the command prompt. Click Start > Run and entercmd, as shown in Figure 44. Click OK.

2. In command prompt window, type telnet <ip address>2121 and press Enter.
Note:
Replace <ip address> with the actual IP address of NetNu-men™ Server.
3. Telnet gets connected with NetNumen™ and prompts for user-name and password, as shown in Figure 45. Log in by typingusername and password.

4. The authentication succeeds and user is logged on to NetNu-men. Type command and press Enter, as shown in Figure 46.

Executing OMM Commands throughTelnet
Short Description To execute commands through Telnet
Prerequisites None
Context Perform the following steps to execute commands through Telnet:
Steps 1. Execute the command prompt. Click Start > Run and entercmd, as shown in Figure 47. Click OK.

2. In command prompt window, type telnet <ip address>2121 and press Enter.
Note:
Replace <ip address> with the actual IP address of NetNu-men™ Server.
3. Telnet gets connected with NetNumen™ and prompts for user-name and password, as shown in Figure 48. Log in by typingusername and password.
