TOP JOURNEYS AND BOOKS BY#LEARNERS/USERSTAKE ACTION: Skill up teams in DevOps and provide books to prep for exams or to learn new concepts

Aspire Journeys provide role-based paths for future tech roles, taking a technologist from where they are now to where they want to be. Not surprisingly, 3 of the top 5 Journeys were in the area of DevOps or Agile Product Development. Most surprising is the “Network Admin to Site Reliability Engineer” which saw usage skyrocket after just two months of availability.

PERCIPIO SEARCH 2020 AND A FEW STANDOUTSTAKE ACTION: Provide training that allows everyone in the organization to skill upon Python

Python remains the most popular and growing language – leading nearly all other search terms. The search data indicates that learners are looking for either tools that will help them be more efficient (Python, Excel, SQL, PowerBI), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or Certifications (ITIL, PMP, CISSP).

CERTIFICATION PREP RELEASED IN 2020WITH NUMBER OF HOURS OF TRAININGTAKE ACTION: Maintain and renew Certifications

The assets delivered metric gives us a good look into the variety of courses and/or learning methods Skillsoft released in each area.

Software Craft (courses focused on the processes and methodologies of building software) leads the way. Concepts such as Agile Development, Scrum, and DevOps were a heavy focus for Skillsoft in 2020.

Infrastructure course was almost exclusively restricted to Certification Preparation, while Data course was heavily focused in live or on-demand Bootcamps. Security, Cloud, and Programming saw a more even distribution across self-paced courses, certification prep, and hands-on labs.

With many new updates to exams announced in 2020, Skillsoft releases focused on keeping Certification preparation up to date. Cloud led the way, mostly due to Microsoft Azure certification updates.
