Heavy Traffic Causing jam condition

Scarcity of Land

Heavy Traffic Causing frequent accidents

Noise & Air Pollution

What is Sky Bus ?

Sky bus is a suspended railway system, can never capsize nor collide due to its design and construction technique.

In short, sky bus is A unique mass transit system which can be put up within any two years in any crowded and congested city for safe transportation without loss of time.It is: Pollution free

Noise free

Economical

Air conditioned travel

Description: Heavy 52 / 60 kg/m rails,

8m x 2m box enclosure,

Supported by 1m dia columns (15m c/c),

Never collide or capsize or derailed.

Schematic Arrangement of Sky BusCapacity:Can carry 18000 pphpd 72000 pphpd

Can shift 20 ft containers

No other modes are capable.

Components:Sky Way,

Sky Bogie,

Sky Coach,

Sky Station,

Traverser Arrangements.Sky Way:Path in which Sky Bus travels,

Includes concrete box supported by piers,

Two rails appropriately fixed to guide the bus.

Sky Bogie:Standard two axle bogies,

Speed of 100 kmph (max. 160 kmph),

Linear Induction motors to be driven,

Disc & Emergency brakes.Sky Coach:Double walled shells wide large windows,

Air conditioned travel automatic doors,

Audio visual information passengers,

2m x 2m space easy entry & exit.

Sky Bus pair of coaches,

capacity of 150 persons,

coach: 9.25 m x 2.4m

Sky Bus unit: 18.5 m length

Sky Stations:Stations sky buses halt,

Smaller area consumption,

Fully computerized entry by electronic swiping cards,

Lifted 5.5 6m above G.L.

Traverser Arrangements:Provided shifting routes of sky buses,

Traverser is a system which automatically shifts sky bus unit from one track to another.

Derailment of Trains & Evolution of Sky Bus Over it

As long as the wheels are on the rails, the coach runs.

But failure of rails / obstruction by a heavy wind force may create dangerous situations.

When the wheels climb 25 to 30 mm flange, then derailment occurs.

If derailment occurs, then there is nothing to hold the coach, then the coach just topple

Such falling of coach can kill people inside the coach and also people on the road, if any.Suppose a standard railway coach running on a railway track

The under frame with standard railway wheel set running on a railway track

The under frame remains the same, railway wheels run on the same track, coach is firmly attached to under frame positively

The under-frame with wheels and railway traction motors & railway track enclosed in the concrete box- travel on the railway track , carrying the coach below outside the concrete box- now the coach and the track are positively held together- cannot escape from rails!

OPERATION OF SKYBUS

Advantages:Fast transportation.No vandalism.No capsizing.No pollution.No traffic jamsNo waiting for passengersHigh capacity

Minimal land acquisition problems. No interference with road trafficLess time for Construction Low Capital & Running CostsNo demolition Luxury Comfort

Test track at Goa:Length : 1.6 KM

Maximum Test speed:100 KMPH

Steepest Gradient:1 in 50

Radius of sharpest curve:105 m

Radius of flatter curve: 875 m

Maximum radius of vertical curve: 3375 m

Conclusion:Advantages of Sky Bus are tremendous.

From the economy point of view it satisfy the needs of both passengers and investors.

It is very much needed for overpopulated cities.
