Skydance Productions creates and produces elevated event-level commercial entertainment. In its strategic partnership with Paramount Pictures, the David Ellison-led company co-finances and produces several fi lms per year with the studio in addition to developing their own projects. Paul Schwake serves as chief operating offi cer and Dana Goldberg is president of production.

Skydance Productions is a production company which produced Star Trek Into Darkness in association with Paramount Pictures. The company was founded in 2006 by David Ellison who worked as executive producer on the Star Trek sequel.
The company worked with Paramount Pictures on the western True Grit (2010), the action sequel Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011, with Simon Pegg), the comedy My Mother's Curse (2012, with Adam Scott and Brett Cullen), the science fi ction sequel G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation (2012, with Dwayne Johnson), the horror fi lmWorld War Z (2012), the crime drama One Shot (2013, with Nicole Forester), the action thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2013, starring Chris Pine), and the upcoming Terminator reboot (set for a 2015 release).
