Zero UI

• Essentially a catch all term for screen-less experiences

• First coined by designer Andy Goodman, formerly at Accenture’s Interactive agency – Fjord

• The goal of Zero UI is to get computers to respond to body language and human speech rather than humans needing to learn how to communicate with computers

API

• An API is an Application Programming Interface

• API is an intermediary that allows application programs to communicate, interact, and share data with various operating systems or other control programs

• The API Economy describes how development and use of APIs can transform business model and transform industries

• For prospects/clients/businesses to discover our offerings

• For developers to understand how to consume them

It has a playground (the ‘sandbox’) for developers:

• Developers can self-sign-up in minutes

• And start writing queries, testing them straight from the browser

• And quickly code in the language of their choice exercising real API calls

It has to be helpful; “make it easy”

• Each offering will show examples and sample code to be copy-pasted into several languages for immediate experimentation (and gratification !)
