Skype for Business How To for PC (Not Mac) Skype for Business is provided to all St. Clair County employees as part of the Microsoft Office Suite of products. This allows users to hold audio/video meetings or sessions with administrators, teachers, and students.

1. If Skype for Business is not showing up on your desktop, you will need to search for it by typing in the word Skype in the search box at the bottom left of the screen.

2. To place Skype for Business in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, right click on the program name, Skype for Business. Click on “Pin to taskbar”.

Logging In: 1. Double click on the Skype icon to open it. 2. Log in using your school email address and normal school password.

Scheduling a Meeting: (These directions are based on the downloaded version of Outlook, not the online version.)

1. To schedule a Skype meeting, you must schedule it through the calendar feature in your Outlook email. 2. Open your email and click on the calendar icon at the bottom left of the screen.

3. Click on the button: New Skype Meeting

4. Complete the meeting request information.

5. Once you complete the information, click Send. An email will be sent to the recipients with a link to join.

In a meeting reminder, click Join Online.

In the main window, click the Meetings tab, then double-click the meeting you want to join.

In the meeting request, click Join Skype Meeting.
