“Simply awesome...only 2 drawbacks...I wish the manual had been included with it and I've noticed some wavering in volume but only when hooked to my tv via an optical cable but I can't say for sure that its the fault of the Core. “The stereo sound coming out of this tiny speaker is like magic! It still impresses me when I hear it. Unlike other speakers, it can fill the room with sound even at relatively low volume. “I expected there to be some bias in the pre launch reviews but it's all true. This is an exceptional product and deserving of its price point. Everything else just sounds muffled compared to this speaker. You can hear the double bassist twanging and the percussion really stands out also. Bluetooth sound quality is fantastic, I have compared the same music to 2 Sonos Play 1 in stereo mode and the sound on both is similar. Sonos goes to a higher volume but the music sounds a bit damp. Range of bluetooth is good. 4. NFC - not tried, Phone - not tried 5. Connected to TV via optical, volume does not reach a level to really excite and I am not sure if the volume can be controlled with just the TV remote. 6. Product built- is really nice. “I've used it with a McIntosh MA7900 and now with an Audio Research VSi75. It sounds really good. The digital out sounds better than analog. Entirely replaced AppleTV/ Airport Express. I seem to have noticed that the analog out requires some burn-in, it felt dull in the beginning and has improved over time. I enjoy playing anything I want and don't discount the ability to equalize sound from your mac to match and surpass DACS of thousands of dollars. “I must firstly say the customer Service is outstanding. I received my first unit and while changing from analog to digital interconnects one of the RCA jacks pulled out. They sent out a replacement unit which was received within days before I even sent back the first one. Outstanding! The new device that I received works flawlessly. I so far prefer the digital out over the analog out, but the sound is very good. I run it through my Integra Dhc 80.3 pre-pro, Parasound Halo amp and Wilson Audio Sophia's! I use MASS Fidelity Relay to listen to music from Apple Music and JRiver in starting my iPhone 6S and my IPAR Air direct on my receiver. Using MASS Fidelity Relay I could feel the sound more open and more crystalline treble compared to my Apple TV on 4th HDMI. The songs have gained a little more detail a little better the soundstage.
