THE NEW DOVER HIGH SCHOOL

Project Work Begins SUMMER 2011

Official work begins with the installation of a command center for

the project (June 2011)

A work-site road comes off of Route 8 to allow all of the heavy equipment

and efforts to begin. July 2011

A small pile of dirt starts off the large movement of topsoil from the site to help develop the pad for the new building. July

2011

Future building will be seen from Route 8 off in the distance.

A closer view of site work for the road and drainage for the main

entryway off of Route 8. July 2011

More soil movement from an area that will be the new high school. The location that the photographer is standing on will be a

future practice field.

The Cannon Mills neighborhood stands off in the distance.

The view between the trees shows soil movement for underground power lines to be placed. August

2011

Future site of the baseball and softball fields from the Carey

entrance road.

The end of July shows the soil just starting to pile up from the pond work.

The view from the Carey farmhouse road in July. Now more soil has been moved and work on underground

cables has changed the view. The future practice fields will sit here. August 2011

This view of equipment in the background will be the school site.

August work shows the soil from the pond excavation sitting on the largest “mountain”

in Kent County.

The large pond and equipment in the background mark a large project just waiting for the next step. September 2011

This closed off area near the pond will be the main road into the school site and

parking lots.

September is ending and the large pond will be near the main road and Route 8 to allow for

proper drainage of the site. September 2011

The overhead power lines will be placed underground and PP&G has started their efforts to help this happen.

September 2011

The end of September shows more equipment on the site with a great deal of soil movement

and wells getting ready to be drilled.

A better view of the large equipment and soil movement to date on the site. September 30,
