DISMOUNTING THE GLAZINGS - FIXED PART
Be aware that the sliding sash must be removed before the glazing can be replaced.
Begin with the aluminum glazing beads at the mullion, and then follow the picture series instructions. The glazing beads are removed carefully with a rubber hammer and glazing paddle, the use of other tools can do great damage to the door.
The glazing bead on the mullion are loosened by tapping the paddle care-fully in between the glazing and the bead.

Once the bead has released its grip from the first clips, prise off the rest of the bead free using the paddle.

Any damaged clips should be replaced before the aluminum glazing beads are refitted. Pay attention to white stripes on the clips, this may mean that they have been bent, making it difficult to fit the beads again.

The glazing bead on the jamb is loosened by tapping the paddle carefully in between the bead and the aluminum frame.

Once the bead has loosened from the jamb, prise off the rest of the bead free using the paddle.

The glazing bead on the bottom cill is loosened by tapping the paddle care-fully in between the glazing and the bead.

The setting blocks are removed. Mark their position.

The glazing is cut free of the sealant with a long sharp knife.

To loosen the glass, cut along the inside of the door too.

The glazing can now be removed from the frame.

Remains of sealant is removed from the frame.

Apply new sealant to the frame before inserting the new glazing, positio-ned according to existing sealant / setting blocks.

Lay setting blocks in the bottom first. Setting blocks positioned according to the marks that were made during the removal, and drawing PRO-500-063 on page 21

The new glazing can now be inserted. Insert bottom first, and tilt the top into place.

Insert the remaining setting blocks. Setting blocks positioned according to the marks that were made during the removal, and drawing PRO-500-063 on page 21

Fit the upper glazing bead by tapping it carefully in place with a rubber ham-mer.

Then fit the bottom glazing bead. This is done by tapping the bead care-fully onto the clips.

When the head and cill glazing beads are fitted, both sides can be moun-ted. The procedure for the glazing bead at the mullion is: Tap the bead ca-refully onto the clips, first at the bottom and then the top.

At the opposite side of the mullion i.e the jamb, use same method as at the head. The glazing bead is fitted by tapping it carefully in place with a rubber hammer, first at the bottom, then the top.

In the sliding part, all glazing beads are dismounted a like. Begin with the aluminum glazing beads in the sides, then bottom and top.

The glazing beads are fitted by carefully tapping them into place with a rubber hammer. The beads are fitted ends first. Start with the head bead, then the cill and at last both jambs.
