And adjustment screw limits thetravel of a floating pin which in turnlimits the amount the plunger canopen.Thus, it results in (adjustable)throttling of flow through the insertvalve. For fine adjusment, it issuggested a cartridge plunger with acushion nose be used.It is suggested the adjusment screwbe cut off at a length correspondingto minimum derired flow to preventaccidentally locking the valve in theclosed position.
