a night full of class o

    By Jason Lubniewski

For all of the times I have beeninside a limo (which is A LOT) theride over to Phatman Boardshopwas by far the most interesting.

A bunch of skiers and snowboard-ers in a limo none of them couldactually afford will always equal an

awesome time (that is, unless westole the limo of course... then itwould equal an AMAZING time).

The ride was relatively shortsince Phatman is less than ve milesaway but somehow it was a blast forthat short time. There was free RedBull all around and a steezy videoplaying in the background.

I actually did have enough time

with all of the commotion to sit backfor a few seconds and appreciate thestars in the ceiling and the plethoraof neon lights (not to forget theclassy champagne glasses).

When we pulled up to the shop Iwas pretty stoked. Phatman had tonsof deals for everything snowboard-ing and skateboading. It was pretty

sweet if youre into that kinda thing.Needless to say, if you went you

got a sick deal and some pretty coolgear. Even if you didnt buy any-thing the shop and the people in itwere pretty rad.

Make sure next year you get yourbutt in that limo and join Schuss onan epic ride to some sick deals.

The Schuss bus ride toSnow ake Ski Shop/245Snowboard Shop turned outawesome. A decent sized groupof people came along to scoreon the deals that were offered atthe store, just for schuss mem-

bers.Bonnie, the store owner, hadpizza and soda waiting foreveryone when we arrived, which was great because it waslater at night and it was almost(kinda sorta) snowing and wewere all pretty amped out that!!

If youve never been toSnow ake/245 you have to

check it out. The store has twooors; the upstairs is the ski

shop oor and the downstairs isthe snowboard shop oor.

The best perk of the twooors is the intense amount of

inventory (probably the largestand most even selection for thetwo sports that Ive seen).

So stop by before the seasonstarts and get decked out insome sweet gear fromcompanies like Burton, Ride,Libtech, K2, Line, Rossignol, and Roxy. Check outsnow akeskishop.com or hit up245 Transit Rd.

My WishliMeet Brian, He Needs New Pants

By Brian Butterfeld This year is that year; the year everyfew years when it is necessary to getnew pants. My old pants are fall-ing apart. My old Columbia pantsworked well for years but now I amlooking for new pants that will do aswell as they did.

The 686 Mannual Cranium pants arenumber one on my list. They arewaterproof and breathable. They are

eece lined with a lot of pockets forall my stuff. Along with being warmfor frigid January days, they havezip able slots that provide vents for

squeezing in the last runs of the sea-son in April.

These pants look cool, are functionaland convenient. 686 has done a good

job with these pants and I hope to beskiing in them as soon as possible.
