Contents1) Individualism.2) Design to Sell.

3) First Year Work.4) Textiles.

5) Favourites.6) Autobiography.

Here are some images of some dolls I made that I sold for £15.00 each for Design to Sell which was a project that was an essential part to the second year of my previous course. I learn’t lots of techniques of how to sew the dolls and experimented with the many different recycled materials that I bought from the local Scrap Store.

Here is some of my work from the first year of my previous course.

Left to Right: Busts of myself and my favourite singer Anne Murray, Life Drawing Inspired Vase, Life Drawn Barn Owl, Artifact Mask and Life Drawn Bengal Owl.

Here are some examples of some textile work which I did in both first and second year of my previous course.

Left to Right: Claes Oldenburg, Octopus In Bubbles, Shipwreck, Doll Face, Doll Dress Close Up and Experimental Sewing.

Here I have selected some of the work I’ve done on the first and second year of the course that I am very pleased with. Some of it is work that came out very well and some of it is based on my specialised area and individualism.

AutobiographyMy name is Sean Miguel Waters. I was born in 1995 in Northampton. I first attended Plymouth College of Art in 2011 when I completed a First Diploma in Art & Design which was a one year duration. I then did a Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production (Film & TV) which also was a one year duration. I then moved onto a much higher level which was Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design which lasted for two years. Throughout the journey of these courses, I learn’t many new creative techniques and tried my hand at artistic activities which I’d never done before such as Pinhole Photography, Filmmaking, Basic Animation Techniques, Batik Printing and even making things out of soap! What I really enjoyed about these past courses is that, unlike art lessons in school, you can be more individual and take topics like photography, textiles, ceramics, painting, etc into your specialised area. My main interest is theatre. The theatrical activities that really interest me are costume design, programme making and scriptwriting. My ambition for the future is to start a theatre company and design the costumes for the performances and also direct them and write the scripts. There are many projects which I am working on with my scripts and costumes such as a school drama entitled “Saffron High”, a medical drama entitled “Blood Rose”. As well as a musical entitled “The Haven Tiger” which is based on the history of the Haven Holidays mascot, Rory the Tiger and a pantomime adaptation of Beauty & the Beast. I have started on the scripts and costumes for Saffron High and the costumes for The Haven Tiger and Beauty & the Beast.
