Silvia Monge In Barcelona (non residential) 24 – 25 – 26 September – 2020 Contact www.epc-artcourses.com I [email protected] Silvia Monge is a renowned Costa Rican artist who has been selected and invited to participate in international watercolor festivals and biennials on four continents, obtaining important awards and recognitions. She has been part of the jury in international competitions and also has taught workshops in the United States, Mexico, Portugal and Costa Rica. She’s a very powerful expressionist artist, using a big variety of media to express herself. Her love for watercolour and her creativity have become her strongest passions to express her feelings. She’s reached a point of abstraction and a high freedom incorporating mixed media to enhance her expression without any complex. This workshop is aimed at those people who wish to bring watercolour a little beyond the limit of the paper. Expressing feelings, experimenting, taking risks and letting yourself go is the main objective of this course. “At the end of each day we will talk about our experiences with the works that we have done in order to learn more, not only from our works but from all the different experiences from our classmates.” We will be based in a studio in Barcelona, a city that needs no presentation. The famous Gaudi architecture is known worldwide, but Barcelona has a lot more to offer besides its architecture. It’s a modern city with a medieval flavour, full of nightlife, shopping, design and hidden corners in its old town, where our studio is based.
