2. How much budget do you have or think you can raise from your savings, family, friends?; being realistic is

important so that you don’t suffer from comparison paralysis

3. Is the state you wish to register your business helpful to start ups, especially if there is corruption at every step

then it’s worth of migrating to a different state or even a country where new start ups make a heaven

4. What are your unique selling items, is it products, services or a mixture of these? Many start ups do not

experiment as they will fail miserably if there is no market to buy your products as you do not have a brand

5. Do you hold a business diploma or attended Entrepreneurship workshops that can help you leverage on the

expert’s learning and avoiding pitfalls

6. Can you start getting ROI in short intervals like in one month? Because your budget is tight and if no angel

investors are present then you are sure to close your shop.

7. Do you have a large group of friends or social network where there is lot of references and word of mouth

company profits are possibly shared to only their near and dears

might be biased knowingly or unknowingly

14. Do you feel you can sustain and survive the ups and down of the business?

15. Do you know how to buy cheap in international market and sell at premium price in an upscale market?

17. Are you a quick learner and can adapt to new requirements and needs of client?

18. Can you sacrifice time and money for a better cause of self?

19. Do you have a home and family that can support you in bad times?

political party, from a so called upper class or from a superior race; if not you should try to pose like one as

people believe in you and trust you

If you feel you can answer most of these then you are the person to start a SME treading the hard path and

sacrificing your initial profits for our independence. If not your fortune might be present in an MNC where you can

earn easy money and secure a safe social needs and party on the company’s profits and sales turnovers. Luck is also
