Senior High Wednesday NightSeptember 21 - Concert of Prayer

Focus of the Night: Prayer is at the heart of the

Claim Your Campus movement. Rather than

talking about prayer, we are going to take a nightto pray. By working through the Lords Prayer we

will be having 5 experienal and parcipatory

prayer elements.

What You Need to know on the Night:

Be a parcipant: Any me we invite the students to share, pray, respond, etc. know that

you are encouraged to join in. Modeling goes a long way. Your parcipaon will

encourage students to parcipate.

Parcipatory can equal Scary: We are going to challenge students to pray out loud. This

can be a really freaky for some students. Keep your eyes open for those students.

Nobody HAS TO pray, but encourage them to try it out (talk to him just like your talking

to me). If a student steps out and prays, encourage him/her like crazy!

We need some help clearing the Fieldhouse: One movement in the night will move

everyone just outside Entrance F. When we do that, we are going to clear the chairs

from the room. Alyssa may be contacng a few of you to see if you can help.

For 9th/10th Small Group Time:

You are likely sll in the get to know you phase. Although you willlikely want to connue to build some relaonal me, here are some

discussion quesons that could lead well into the Nights Focus. Feel

free to use one, some, all or none of them:

1. When is a me where you saw a prayer get answered?

2. If you could ask God to do one thing in your life right now

and know hed do it, what would you ask?

3. When do you pray?

4. Why do you pray?

5. How do you feel about praying out loud in front of a group?
