The quaint town of San Miguel de Allende offers a postcard perfect image of

colonial architecture dating back to the 16th century. It is a World Heritage

Site with an undulating central district of narrow cobbled streets with a low

skyline punctuated by the rising domes and belltowers of its many Baroque

churches. Its mountain location offers a temperate climate and in recent

years has seen its popularity as an artistic and culinary centre grow. Its

remote location also adds to the town’s a distinctly laid back atmosphere.

Rosewood San Miguel de Allende has the feel of a colonial residence,

although it is in fact a cleverly disguised modern building opened in early

2010 on the outskirts of this pretty colonial town. Using a palette of rich
