SmartConfig Installation Guide for DB102 Modem
1 Make sure your PC Ethernet setting is set to ldquoObtain an IP address automatically
2 Reset the configuration of the modem to factory default settings by pressing the reset button for 5 seconds
3 Configure DB102 via the WebConfig via IP address 19216811 using login name and password as follows
UsernametmadminPassword tmadmin

4 Click Home and select SmartConfig from the side menu
5 DB102 Modem can be configured to 3 modes of operation Bridge PPPOE and PPPOA

Bridge Mode Configuration
1 Set the Operation Mode to Bridge Mode and click Submit
2 To confirm your configuration click the Submit button

4 Next is to set PPPOE dialer on your computer
For Windows 98
bull ATTENTION If you are running Windows 98 Second Edition (not the original Windows 98 release nor Windows ME) you need to download and install a fix from Microsoft to prevent your machine from hanging or even completely freezing while using this protocol Go to this link to obtain the fix

Installation Steps
1 Go to folder Dialer in the DB102 Installation CD Double Click on file PPPOE098exe or click here to install the dialer Click Yes on the RASPPPOE Installation Window
2 When it is successfully installed click Ok to close the RASPPOE Intallation Complete window

3 Fill in your Streamyxs username and password provided and click the Dial button to connect
If all the login information youve entered is correct you will be logged in and then be connected to Streamyx
For Windows XP
1 Open Control Panel and click on the Network and Internet Connections
2 Next click on Network Connection located at the bottom-right of the window

3 Click on Create a new connection under the Network Tasks
4 A New Connection Wizard dialog box will be shown
Click Next to proceed

5 A new dialog box will be shown for the user to specify the type of connection
Select Connect to the Internet option and click Next to continue
6 Specify how do you want to connect to the Internet
Select Setup my connection manually option and click Next to continue

Select Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password
7 Specify a name for the new connection You can put any name to identify the connection
Click Next to continue
8 Next input your username and password given by TMNet in the appropriate box

You can also check the two checkboxes if you wish to enable other person to use the connection and make the connection as the default connection Click Next to continue
9 Finally if you would like a short cut to be placed on the desktop check the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop checkbox
Click Finish to complete the settings
10 To use this connection simply double click the shortcut on the desktop and click Connect

At this point you will lose connection to the modem ndash Do Not Panic and Do Not Close your browser Please proceed with the next step
4 On your PC change the IP address to the Host IP address given by your ISP
Change the netmask according to the netmask given by your ISP Change the gateway address to the modemrsquos IP addressChange the DNS to DNS address given by your ISPTo go back to the Web Configuration GUI you need to change the browsers address to the new modems IP address ndash you may need to re-login

9 Finally if you would like a short cut to be placed on the desktop check the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop checkbox
