HP StoreOnce is integrated with Oracle RMAN through HP StoreOnce Catalyst, a backup-optimized, high-performance protocol providing DBAs faster backup and accelerated recovery of databases. An alternate to traditional NAS and VTL backup modes, the StoreOnce Catalyst plugin for RMAN is installed directly on your Oracle database servers. This enables direct backup and restore of single or clustered Oracle databases to StoreOnce Catalyst stores. As a result, your DBAs can back up Oracle databases without the need for an additional backup application to manage backups and recoveries.

Oracle-aware deduplication for significant cost savings

A key to managing information growth is intelligent data storage. Typically, your backup footprint will greatly exceed your primary storage footprint unless backups are optimized through deduplication. HP StoreOnce accelerates RMAN-managed backups
