• Baking and decoration of various cakes, buns, fancy-cakes, pastry, rolls, etc.

• Operating circling, rolling out and dough kneading machines

• Working with yeast, puff and short dough

• Making starters, soups and main courses

• Cutting fruit and vegetables

• Serving dishes

• Working with clients

Our common tasks

• We lived together in one house.

• We helped and cared about each other.

• We had work placements for 5 weeks.

• We had to make reports, make pictures and write notes in our blog.

The best memories

• One of the best memories is the first working day. Bakers worked at night the first time. It was unusual, but it was cheerful, because we had a good team.

• One more memories are when we went shopping in the center and all of us went for a walk around the town.

• Last day in Germany, when we swam in a boat, then we played Wii and drove small cars (The name of it is «Carting»).

• Cooks: The practice was really good, they liked the restaurant very much. Cooks have become interested in a German cuisine.

• Schwerin is a beautiful city where are a lot of houses and cars. Long stone roads will remain in our memory for ever.

The worst memories

• Only one bad memory was a bad weather, when it was raining all day and we were sitting at home.

Our recommendations to other students

• Don’t be afraid of work placements abroad, it is excellent chance for improvement of the knowledge.

• You have possibility to learn about culture of other countries.
