When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Tips for preparing yourfruits and vegetablesThere are so many benefits to cold pressed juice, but the main reason that cold pressed juice has become so popular is because it is the best way to maximize the amount of nutrition that you get from your juice. When heat is applied to the juicing process through friction found in most juicers, it begins breaking down the living cells in the fruit or vegetable immediatly (why an avocado browns).

Therefore, squeezing juice keeps the nutrients in the juice alive longer because it does not use the same heat or friction. While pressing juice is so good for you, it does come with a few challenges. We have prepared a quick table for you to better understand how to get the most out of what you are juicing and protect your machine at the same time.

Always be sure to wash and dry your fresh fruits and vegetables before use.

Frozen fruits will not provide juice.

Why do certain fruits need to be cut or have their core removed?

JUlaVIE uses two large, forceful plates to come together and squeeze the juice out of your fruit. To make room for these plates and keep the size reasonable for home use, some fruits or vegetables need to be cut into more manageable sizes to fit inside of the opening of the machine. Removal of pits from fruits is important, as the press squeezes the bag with 8 tons of force, the pit could accidentally pierce your reusable juicing bag allowing juice to touch the machine and damage the bag.

What are the juice extracting mitts for?

Leafy greens have thicker cell wells then other fruits and vegetables, making it more difficult to release the juice inside them. By simply rubbing the greens in-between the juice extracting mitts until the greens become nimble, it will break down these cell walls and allow the nutrients to escape while being pressed.

Why do bitter peels matter?

For some fruits, like oranges, you can cut them in half and easily put them in the machine - no problem, however, the juice may end up bitter due to the more bitter flavoring of the peel that will also release juice as it is squeezed.

Why do I have to limit quantities or shred root vegetables.

Root vegetables, such as carrots and beets are hardest to squeeze juice from. To obtain a full glass of juice from these ingredients through cold-press, we advise you to shred them first before putting in the juicer to obtain maximum yield.

Preparation Steps

Perfect for juicing as high in water content:

recommended to use the gloves provided to break

the tips for maximum juice.

Getting to know your JUlaVIE juicer

1.

2.

Step 1) Prepare the juicing filterLocate the “juicing filter” starter kit and take out one juicing filter.

This filter is one of 2 juicing bags you will use to operate your JUlaVIE juicer. This filter will contain your fruits and vegetables, but when pressed it allows the juice to flow through.

The nylon bag is 100% recyclable and can be recycled after each use OR for most fruits and vegetables the pulp is squeezed dry enough that you can remove it and with a quick rinse use again (up to 5 times, within a 12 hour period).

Fill up to the line provided on the bag to be sure that juice does not overflow while being pressed.

Insert fruit and vegetables into the juicing filter.

Note: Make sure that content falls below the fill line.

Place the empty REUSABLE juicing bag into the machine using the 6 magnetic connectors. Then, add the filter inside of the juicing bag by connecting the handles to the hooks on the inside of the machine opening.

Note: The machine will not function properly unless the spout is coming out of the machine above your drinking glass.

Step 2) Option 2: Locate the Prep and Press outer juicing bag.

Step 2) Option 1: Putting juicing bag and filter into the machine.Locate the reusable juicing bag.

Place the filter into the prep & press outer juicing bag before placing it into the machine. Zip the bag securely at the top. Insert the zipped juicing bag into the machine attaching to the hooks on the inside of the machine opening.

Insert fruits and vegetables into the recyclable inner filter.

Store the inner filter bags inside of your Prep and Press juicing bags in the fridge until you are ready to use them.

Bags can be used up to five (5) times per juicing session.

For more recycling information on the press and prep bags, visit the juicing bag page at JUlaVIE.com

The lights will tell you the status of activity (see next page).

If the machine does not activate, check that the safety lid is all the way closed, power cord is securely plugged into the machine and into the wall and that the machine is turned on (switched to the "O", located on the back of the machine).

Do not attempt to open the machine during use as it will deactivate the machine.

Putting anything in the machine besides fruits and vegetables will void the warranty.

Close safety lid Push button to activate

After juicing is complete, wait 30 seconds for the press to reset before opening the safety closure. The light on the front of the machine will turn off indicating it is safe to open and/or reuse.

After use, store both the reusable bag and filters in a cool, dry place.

Refrigerate any left over juice in a sealed container.

Preparing for your next glass:

Special grooves are placed inside the reusable bag to be sure that the juice flows easily downwards from the filter. It is very simple to clean between the grooves by turning the bag inside out and rinsing with hot water.

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR JUlaVIE JUICER -

Step 4) Rinse and Recycle your bags.

Your reusable juicing bag can be easily rinsed or put in the dishwasher (top rack only). Your recyclable filter can also be rinsed and reused up to 5 times (in a 12 hour period).

You can also recycle your filter after each use.

When you push the power button and the outer ring lights up, it means the compartment cover is closed correctly.

If you push the power button and the outer ring lights up but the letter "J" on the button flashes, then it means the compartment cover is not safely shut.

After securing the compartment cover and the juicing process begins, the outer ring and the letter "J" will flash together until the machine is ready to use again.

- Remove the pulp from the inner filter.- Rinse the reusable bag and inner filter with running water.- Wipe dry or let it air dry.- If the filter bag is damaged, do not use it again.- Only reuse the filter bag within 12 hours.

Check if the plug is correctly positioned.Check if the on/off switch is switched on.Check if top sliding door is completely shut.

Device does not work:

Device issues when juicing:

Check if top sliding door is completely shut.Check power plug has not become loose.

Stops suddenly:

No / little juice:

Power off the machine.Remove the juicing bag.Do not take apart the machine.Simply wipe the inside bag compartment clean and air-dry before next use.

Juice overflow & leakage:

Some ingredients have different density and you may notice a slight separation during juicing. Simply stir and enjoy!

Separation of juice:

Do not force it open or closed.Restart the machine by switching the machine off then on through the power switch.
