About Smart Tag

With Smart Tag you can see information displayed on the tag. It is like a

visible RFID. The display on the Smart Tag screen can be a barcode, picture,

alphanumeric characters, as well as Japanese “kanji” characters.

Because the Smart Tag display is readable and can be changed, there are

many potential uses for this product, such as in production control systems,

distribution systems, digital picking systems, and point of sale systems. The

Smart Tag Application (Examples)

Use as an electronic Kanban in production process.

(Kanban is a communication tool in “just-in-time” production and

control systems. A signboard is attached to the specific parts in a

production line signifying the delivery of a given quantity.)

Use Smart Tag for labeling shelves – can instantly change labels on the

shelves containing RFID information such as location, product code, lot,

number, shipped date, time, etc.

What is Smart Tag Logistics System Application?

Smart Tag Logistics System Application is an Android demonstration application of Smart Tag.

This application demonstrates the logistics of delivering food containers with Smart Tags attached.

The application can:

Verify driver ID

Schedule driver’s delivery

In this demo, 3 destinations are assigned. 1 container is assigned to each destination.

Assign an ID to each container so that it can be scanned. In this demo, 3 IDs are created for 3

containers.

Direct the driver using a built-in GPS (Wi-Fi).

Verify accuracy of delivery by scanning.

Notify completion of delivery via cloud system after each delivery.

In this application, Smart Tag is used for both driver ID and container ID.
