Configuration• Parameters can be customized so thateach time SmartScore is loaded, the settings will default accordingly. • These defaults will apply under the ANALYZE and REPORT tabs.

STUDY tab PATIENT button

• Fill in any additional information not already autofilled from scan acquisition. • Any information supplied will be shown on the patient report.

• Colored buttons indicateonly one selection per row.

• Check marks will indicatethat multiple fields can beselected.

• Scroll bar on the right margin to continue to fill inadditional patient demographics.

•These additional fields are input in the PREFERENCES tab.

Under ANALYZE tab IMAGES button

• Depending upon scan set upeither 1,3, or 5 images willappear on a prospective gateddata set.

NOTE: If scoring a retro-spectively gated data set more images can be scrolled through.

• The highlighted blue icon inthe upper left corner indicates that this image is the selected image per location.

• Images can be deselected Superior and inferior to the coronary arteries by clickingon the blue highlighted icon inthe upper left image corner.

The A,B, and C buttons have no predefined ROI meaning, and are available for scoring additionaluser defined areas.

How to use SmartScore

Select the vessel icon to bescored at the bottom of thepage.

Draw a box around the plaquein the vessel, using the leftmouse key. When you releasethe mouse all the scorablepixels will highlight.

NOTE: This box should be 50%larger that the area of plaque.

• During image review the physician can click on the DIAGNOSTIC button and type in a diagnosis of the anatomy.

• This box can be clicked on andmoved anywhere on the screen.

• Select the appropriate tab toview the scores with eachdifferent algorithms. Each individual vessel is scored aswell as a total column to addall vessels and A, B, and C.

NOTE: When printing out The total score on the patientreport it is optional whetherA, B, and C regions will be Included. To include selectSCORE TABLE in the Preferences tab card. Next Select A, B, and C to be Scored along with the mainvessels

• Click the Send buttonto export report feature defaults.

Header/Physician list:• This section is to establish thedefault report.

• The colored buttons indicate the location of the logo and address.

• Physician list will fill in all of the names on the report that have show in report checked.

• This list can be sorted andplaced in the report.

• Number of columns willautomatically sort the list accordingly.

The 75% Table:• Allows entry of differentinformation for patients whose scores are in the 75% of calcium scores.

Note: If table is blank, all patient reports will print from the “Normal” table. If the 75%table has any information andthe score is in the 75% it willpull from this 75% table.

Vessel Types:• Main Vessels: Will give thescore for the LMA, LAD, LCX, RCA, and PDA only.

• Additional Vessels: Will givethe score for the A, B, and Clabels.

Having both checked will Report all the vessels together.

the software as well as onto floppydisk. A list of template names will appear in the lower left margin. Tochange templates click on the name and the new template will be used.

• The GEMS template may not be removed. Other templates can bedeleted by clicking on the Deleteicon.

• All templates will be saved to the hard drive automatically.To save to floppy as a back up,highlight the report to be saved andclick on the arrow pointing to the right. To restore from the floppy theuser will highlight the report on the floppy side and click the arrowpointing to the left.
