BothexamsmustbepassedbeforetheSmallBusinessSpecializationorSmallBusinessFoundationSpecializationapplicationcanbeprocessed.SeeStep4:ApplyforSmallBusinessSpecializationorSmallBusinessFoundationSpecializationtolearnhowtocompletetheCertificationandSpecializationApplication.

Here are three tips to ensure that passed exams move quickly from the testing center into Ciscos databases:

i TesttakersshouldhavetheirCisco.comuserIDcreatedpriortotakinganexam.

ii EnsurethatallpeopletakingexamsareassociatedwithyourcompanyinPSS.

iii EachindividualneedstosigntheCiscoCareerCertificationandConfidentialityAgreementinorderfortheexamtoshowascompleted.Thisagreementcanbesignedonline.

Onceanexamhasbeenpassed,itcantakeupto10businessdaysbeforeitregistersinPSS(http://www.cisco.com/go/pss/)ortheCSApptool(http://www.cisco.com/go/csapp/).

Ifthepartnerhasvalidatedthattheindividualisassociatedwiththecompanyandthecertificationagreementhasbeensigned,butindividualswhohavepassedtestsarestillnotshowinginthesystem,openacasewiththePartnerRelationshipTeam(PRT)onlineatwww.cisco.com/go/prt.

1. VisitSmallBusinessUniversityathttp://www.cisco.com/go/sbutoreviewlearningmapsfortheCiscoSmallBusinessFoundationSpecializationorSmallBusinessSpecializationroles.

2. Planwhichpeoplewillfilltherequiredroles(accountmanagerandengineer)andcreateatrainingplanforthosepeopletoensurethattheymeetanyprerequisitesandknowwhichcoursesandexamsmustbetaken.

3. PreparefortherequiredexamsbytakingtherecommendedSmallBusinessFoundationSpecializationorSmallBusinessSpecializationtrainingcourses,availableine-learningformat.Instructor-ledtrainingisalsoavailableinsomeareas.

4. Onceanydesiredtrainingiscomplete,registerfortheonlineexams,administeredgloballybyPearsonVUEathttp://www.pearsonvue.com/cisco/online/.

Youcanaccesstheexamsatwww.testrac.com/pvuecisco.

Thiswebsiteincludeseasy-to-followinformationonhowtoregisterandscheduleexams.IfthetesttakeralreadyhasaCisco.comuserID,heorsheshouldhaveitavailable.IftheindividualdoesnothaveaCisco.comID,onewillbesentuponcompletionofhisorherfirstexam.ATesTracIDisalsorequiredandwillbeissuedthefirsttimethepersonregistersforanexam.ThesameTesTracIDisusedforallexamstakenbythatindividual.IfthetesttakerhasnottestedwithCiscobefore,heorshewillneedtocreateanaccountontheTesTracsitewheretheIDwillbeissued.

iii. SelecttheSpecializationPlannertab,theSmallBusinessSpecializationorSmallBusinessFoundationSpecialization,andall(orthedesired)roles.Thisshowsyoutherequirementsforeachroleandanyindividualswhoalreadymeettheserequirements.

iv. Ifyoudliketoseethestatusoftheindividualsinyourcompany,youcanselecttheContactsclosetomeetingrequirementshyperlink.Thistabshowsallcompanycontactsandwhatrequirementseachisstillmissing.

2. Oncebothspecializationroles(accountmanagerandengineer)aremetbyindividualsandtheirinformationisavailable,usetheSpecializationApplicationtabwithintheCSApptool(http://tools.cisco.com/WWChannels/cpapp/selectGeo.do)tosubmityourapplication(Figure2).

vi. ReviewthetermsandconditionsandpresstheNextbutton.

vii. Confirmthatallrequirementsaremetandsubmittheapplication(Figure3).

YoucanopentheapplicationfortheSelectCertificationwithoutcompletingit.ItwilldisplayastatusofInprogresswithintheCSApptoolfor90dayswhileyoucontinuetomakeprogresstowardfillingtheroles.

Allcompanyadministratorswillreceiveanemailfromcpapp-program@cisco.comnotifyingthemthatanewapplicationhasbeensubmittedfortheSelectCertification.

Within24hours,youshouldreceiveanotificationthatyourcompanyhasachievedtheSelectCertification.Thisemailwillalsobefromcpapp-program@cisco.com.Fromthispoint,theCSApptoolwillreflectyourSelectCertificationbyshowingthestatusasApproved.Thecertificationisvalidforoneyear,sotheanniversarydatewillbeoneyearfromthedateitwasapproved.
