This “SMDK-BRIDGE-BOARD” is a joint board between SMDK6400/6410 and S1R72V27 Evaluation Board.

Set the jumpers on the board as they are suitable for your evaluation environment. Settings marked “*” as shown Table 2-1 are default settings.

Connect JF1 on SMDK6400/6410 via CN1 on this board. Refer to “6.2 Circuit Diagrams” for pin assignment specifics. The CN1 connector and mating connector are provided as shown below.

CN1 : QSE-040-01-L-D-EM2 / SAMTEC

Opposite side : QTE-040-01-L-D-EM2 / SAMTEC

4. EVA Board Interface

Connect CN4 on S1R72V27 Evaluation Board via CN2 on this board. Refer to “6.2 Circuit Diagrams” for pin assignment specifics. The CN2 connector and mating connector are provided as shown below.

CN2 : NDS100-002-BF / Yamaichi Electronics

Opposite side : NDP100-002-BF / Yamaichi Electronics

5. Power Supply

This board don’t have a connector for Power Supply.

It’s no need for this board to supply power especially from extenal.

6.6 DC5V supply for S1R72V27 EVA Boad S1R72V27 EVA Board needs to be supplied DC5V without via SMDK-BRIDGE-BOARD. Because

JF1 on SMDK6400/6410 doesn’t have any pins for DC5V. On the other hands, JF1 has GND pins. So GND on SMDK6400/6410 connects both GND on SMDK-BRIDGE-BOARD and ones on S1R72V27 EVA Board. Please make a cable for DC5V to connect between SMDK6400/6410 and S1R72V27 EVA Board.

If the current on DC5V from SMDK6400/6410 is not sufficient, supply DC5V from a external power unit to S1R72V27 EVA Board directly. In this case, turn on and off DC5V at the same timing both SMDK6400/6410 and S1R72V27 EVA Board.
