On September 25, SME volunteer members did a video shoot at MacKay Manufacturing located in Spo- kane Washington. Participating were Katie MacKay Vice President and Greg Meyer CNC Supervisor, Glenn Coker, CNC Machinist Bruce Felt from Video Marketing Services, Terrence Geyer, the 2012 SME Chapter 248 chair from the Mechanical Engineering Dept. at Eastern Washington University and Dave Davidson from SME's Deburring and Finishing Tech Group and its Machining/Metal Remov- al Technical Community. The resulting educational videos can be seen on YOUTUBE… The video subjects include “Lean at Mac- Kay”, “Centrifugal Barrel Finishing”, “MacKay operations with a Mori Seiki NTX1000SZM (11 axis) Turn -Mill Center” and “MacKay Operations with a Willimen 408MT (7 axis) All of these videos can be seen on the i.sme.org site at: i.sme.org/c248/contactvideos SME Manufacturing promotes manufacturing education and advances manufacturing awareness for the Inland Northwest Empire area.
