every year. That’s A LOT of money.• 75 % of employees who smoke take

more days off work because of health problems. That’s 3 in every 4 people.

• Smoking is ADDICTIVE. This means once you start it, it is very hard to stop.

• Do you have a loved one who smokes? Help them quit. A support system makes it easier to stop. Help them make their life longer and happier!

How can you help people quit?

• When they want to smoke, give them something else like coffee, chewing gum or an apple.

• Find a new hobby for them, fun things you both enjoy, like cycling and flying kites.

• Don’t scold them, in fact encourage them. Make them feel loved.

• Tolerate their mood swings.• Don’t offer them a

cigarette, even as a joke!
