Questions and requests for applications should be sent
The Smyth County Fire Rescue Academy is accepting applications for Class 20-1, which will run from January
through May 2020.
Enrollment is limited to 24 students and priority will be given to students from departments in Smyth County.

Applications from Bland, Grayson, Russell, Tazewell, Washington, and Wythe Counties will be accepted

Applications must be received by December 1, 2019 and be accompanied by a $125 registration fee for each student.
The registration fee will be refunded only if the applicant is not offered a seat in the Academy class. Registrants that do
not attend class forfeit their registration fee.
