Slide 2 Snow! By: Owen Nell Slide 3 I wondered if snow would melt better in regular water or in salt water. Slide 4 I put a spoonful of snow in water and one spoonful of snow in salt water. Slide 5 My conclusion was that the snow melted faster in the saltwater. Why?........ Slide 6 When you add salt to snow and ice it lowers the freezing point which makes it melt easier. Slide 7 People use salt to melt ice off their driveways. Slide 8 The freezing point for water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celcius. Slide 9 Thanks for Watching!!!
