Life Cycle

• For a female snowy owl breeding starts between May and

September. The female will begin the process by finding

the perfect nest away from harmful predators. Depending

on the size a female will lay 3 to 11 eggs if food is

extremely abundant that year 16 eggs is also a possible

amount . It takes a month for eggs to hatch and then they

begin a new process. The parents at this stage are very

cautious against any type of harm always putting

themselves first before them. After 5 to 7 weeks the

chicks hatch and the cycle begins again
