What Is The Gospel Of Jesus Christ?

“Gospel” & “Good News” The word “gospel” was around long before

Jesus used it. It was a well known term in ancient Greek & Roman culture.

“Gospel” & “Good News” The “gospel” was the good news that the

people’s enemy had been defeated and they no longer had to fear enslavement or

destruction

Belief in Jesus gives you victory over every enemy

The Gospel Of Jesus Christ is this:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall

not perish but have eternal life.” - Jn 3:16

1. The Savior From Sin & DeathJesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” Jn 11:25-6

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Ro 6:23

The Enemy: Satan

“Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows . . . he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Is 53:4-5

The Enemy: Sickness

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10

The Enemy: Emptiness

Jesus said …“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me…streams of living water will flow from within him.” By this he meant the Spirit” - Jn 7:37-9

4. The Giver Of The Holy Spirit

The Enemy: Weakness

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV)
