  • Tips and Tricks PageUh oh! My slime isn’t looking quite right. What can I do?!

Don’t worry my slime making pals. We have loads of simple solutions to help you get back on track with your slime.

My color isn’t working right, it’s not mixing or it’s not bright enough.

I want a stretchier slime. How can I do that?

My slime is all wet and nasty. What’s wrong?

I left my slime for a day and now it’s dried up. Can I fix it?

I’ve mixed it but it doesn’t look like slime. How come?

Make sure to add the color BEFORE you add borax water. This will help to make sure the color gets mixed in correctly. If you need it to be brighter, you can always add a little more.

The are loads of ways you can make a stretchier slime. You can add shaving foam or hand lotion (not included). Sometimes slime goes hard when you add too much borax, so try adding a little less next time and working the slime more in your hands.

Sometimes if you get the ratio of glue or water a little bit wrong then your slime can be a little bit wet. There are two simple things you can do to fix this:1. Add a little bit more borax.2. Leave the slime to dry for 2 to 4 hours. This is best if there is too

much water.3. Sometimes the heat of your hands and playing with the slime is all it

needs. Get in there and get messy kneading your slime.

It’s difficult to revive a dead slime. The best thing to do is start again and have loads more fun making new slime. Remember to keep your slime in the containers provided to make sure it lasts a long time.

Sometimes slime needs to be worked with your hands a little bit before it turns into slime. So get stuck in and get messy! Keep trying and following our instructions you’ll be making perfect slime in no time.

You can play with the clay by itself - it feels amazing! If it gets a little dry or you want to add some color, you can use the recipe below:

Mix 20ml warm water with your favourite ink color. Add more ink to make it really bright.

Knead it together with one bag of clay for about 3 to 5 minutes until all the water is gone (this is messy).

Fluffy Colored Clay SlimeA crazy slime that feels a little like a marshmallow!

Alternative: Add 2 to 3 squirts of shaving foam (not included in this kit) and kneed until all the foam is gone. It is super messy but super fun!

Jelly Cube SlimeA great sounding crunchy slime!

Bubblegum Jelly Cube SlimeSame as Jelly Cube Slime but add a drop of bubblegum scent and choice of colour to Basic Slime 1 or 2 before adding the foam cubes.

Optional: Add color to the foam cubes first. Simply mix a little pigment with a small amount of water and add the cubes. The longer you leave them in, the better the color will be. Then squeeze out all the excess water and let them dry (don’t forget this step or you will get a wet slime).

Make Basic Slime 1 or 2 and add in choice of ink color, glitter or scent.

Add a few at a time of foam cubes to the slime and fold them in. Do this when the slime is fresh so that they don’t fall out.

If the slime is too sticky, add more Borax water after putting the beads.

To have a clearer slime, leave the slime in an airtight container overnight.

    Basic Slime1 or 2

    FishbowlBeads

Make Basic Slime 1 or 2 and add in choice of ink color, glitter or scent.

Knead the slime until it is really stretchy. Don’t add too much Borax. Stickier slime will keep the beads in better.

Put your fishbowl beads into a bowl. Put the slime into the bowl and fold in as many beads as you can. To get a really crunchy effect, use a small amount of slime with lots of beads.

If the slime is too sticky, add more Borax water after putting the beads.

To have a clearer slime, leave the slime in an airtight container overnight.
