HOW TO S.O.A.P. All you need is a Bible and something to record your thoughts with. It doesn't matter if it’s pen and paper or a digital tool, just use whatever you’re most comfortable with. Then, walk through this process to record your thoughts:

what God is speaking to you, what you’re going to do about it, and to ask God’s help to live it out.
S.O.A.P. JOURNALING
S - Scripture Copy down word-for-word one or two verses that spoke to you from your Bible reading.
O - Observation Write down what you think the passage means in its original context and intent.
A - Application Write down how this applies to your life right now and what you plan to do because of it.
P - Prayer Write out a prayer asking for God’s help to live out the truth of this Scripture in your everyday life.
